The Easter Bunny Visits Jack

Mommy saw Jack today. She made it in time for Jack to go on an Easter Egg hunt.

First, Jack had to make the eggs for the Easter Bunny to hide. Can you spot the ones he made for Mommy and me?

He eventually found all of the eggs the Easter Bunny hid for him. Some of them even had candy in them.

Then Jack, Mommy, Karla and Tim went to "brunch." I have no idea what that is, but I assume it is some sort of meal.

Karla had to take a picture of Mommy with her food because there was something on her plate that Mommy rarely eats...FRUIT. That's right, Mommy had fruit for "brunch." Jack really liked Mommy's strawberries, so she shared them with him.

They had a great time and I am glad that Mommy got to spend time with Jack today. It gave me time to catch up on my sleep. Mommy and me played a lot when she got home.

Oh - this is Bunny Sunday. So, I can't forget to mention my cousin Jackson Hareing. It looks like the Easter Bunny was very good to him this year.

And to celebrate, I have decided to post a few photos of Mommy with Flopsy. Mommy had a bunny when she was younger and his name was Flopsy.

I hope Mommy doesn't get too upset...these pictures are a little old and her hair. Well, I suppose that was the style back in the day.

The Vet

I had to go to the Vet this week.

This was me before the appointment. There were so many puppies waiting to see the vet that I thought I was at another day care. But sadly, I wasn't.

I figured out what was really going on when I went in the room with that metal table. I don't like the table. Mommy has to put me on it while a very nice woman pokes at me. They check my eyes, my ears and my teeth. And just when I think she is done, she brings back someone else who put liquid in my nose and gives me a shot. Needless to say I was not to happy.

But, Mommy took me to one of my favorite places after the visit. She was "rewarding" me for being such a good boy.

That's right, she took me to McDonald's. I love McDonald's French Fries more than cheese. Mommy, she knows how to take good care of me.

By the way, I got a clean bill of health from the Vet. I even lost a little weight over the winter (I normally gain wait). All-in-all, I am in good shape.

Grandma is Kicking Cancer's A**

That's right. Grandma has put up a good fight and she is winning. We got word today that the Dr.'s didn't find any cancer during her three-month check-up! Yippee!

I've Got My Eye on You

It's a Pink Week

Mommy and Katie went to see P!nk this week. They had a of fun singing at the top of their lungs and dancing in the aisles (and sometimes in their chairs).

 

 

 

 

Then Mommy had dinner with Jack's Mom, Karla, on Friday night. Notice the pink drinks.

 

And to top it all off, Mommy went to see Nancy yesterday and she painted Mommy's fingernails pink (hoping it would inspire spring to come sooner).

It was a very pink week!



Sydney Turns 11

Can you believe it? Baby Sydney is a baby no more. She turns 11 tomorrow. And Mommy got to spend the day with her today. Mommy went to see Sydney in her school play today..."The Little Mermaid."

After the play, Sydney, Stacia, David and her Aunt Nickie (and other godmother), headed back to the house to open Sydney's Birthday presents.

 

Sydney got some really cool hair extensions (and money...the best kind of gift) from her Aunt Nickie.

 

 

Mommy got Sydney a Coach wristlet that can hold her iPhone. Of course Mommy would have to get her Coach.



Then they all went to dinner to a place called Newt's for hamburgers (Sydney's choice). Sydney had the Juicy Lucy and Mommy had a peanut butter bacon burger.

Mommy had a great time hanging out with everyone, but she needed to get back home to me. Mommy left Sydney some cupcakes for her birthday. Looks like she couldn't decide which one she really wanted, so she tried 3 of the 4.

 

Oh, but Mommy didn't forget to say hi to Murphy and Chloe for me.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Mesa House

After a few years of trying to get Mommy down to Arizona, Karla, Tim and Jack were finally successful in getting Mommy to take a little break from work and visit them at Mesa House (aka winter retreat in Mesa, Arizona).

Mommy got to ride on a big airplane and things sure look different in Arizona (no snow comes to mind).

Mommy and Karla did not waste any time getting vacation started. They headed to Happy Hour right after Mommy got off the plane.

I was a little confused by the drinks. As many of you know, Mommy like a good Cosmopolitan (how I got my name), but she said that Margarita's are the regional drink. She had one, but she started vacation by having a shot to tequila. Mommy said it was good because it didn't taste like tequila (it was infused with Pineapple and Watermelon).

But, they didn't stay out long because they wanted to get back home and see Jack before he went to bed. Mommy said Jack was super excited to see Mommy. And, that he wanted to see pictures of me. Mommy said Jack asked to see a picture of my every night before he went to bed. How cute!

Mommy said Jack - every morning - would want to play a game with Mommy. The first day, Jack wanted to show Mommy how he fished.

 

 

But, they had things to do and people to see. So, Mommy, Jack, Karla and Tim headed out for a little golf. Well, Mommy's kind of golf (putt putt).

 



 

 

 



Mommy said Jack was a really good golfer (and Mommy too! She got a few holes-in-one). But, that wasn't all. Jack wanted to go swimming so they all headed over to Karla's parents place so Jack could swim in the pool. Her parents community has a pretty cool pool - not only is it heated, but it is also a salt water pool (no harsh chemicals).

Mommy said Jack was a great swimmer. Who knows, maybe he will take up competitive swimming like Karla and Mommy. Mommy really had a great time swimming with Jack, but he had to leave to take a nap. So, Mommy and Karla stayed behind to get some sun while Tim went to go hit some golf balls.

 

Mommy and Karla might have stayed out in the sun too long. Mommy did her usual Phoenix sunburn. She only realized it when Mommy and Karla walked over to the driving range to meet Tim. Mommy had to cover up so she wouldn't get any more sun.

Will she ever learn? And now she has a really weird tan line.

 

 

After the pool, Mommy and Karla headed into old town Scottsdale for a little shopping as Tim did work around the house, including putting up a new wall hanging in Jack's bedroom.

 

 

 

They had a fun time checking out all the shops, trying on cowboy boots and watching all the baseball fans enjoying their afternoon in the bar. But enough shopping. They went to pick up Tim and headed out to dinner.

 

They went a wine bar. Mommy said the food, wine and people watching were fantastic.

 

 

 

They picked up Jack after dinner and headed home for some custard (really good by the way).

 

The next day was also packed with adventure. That morning, they all headed up the mountain to Tortilla Flat.

 

 

 

 

While at Tortilla Flat, the gang at at the restaurant. The walls of the restaurant were covered in money. Can you believe it?

 

They also had ice cream. It took Jack quite awhile to eat his, but he did eat all of it on his own.

After Tortilla Flat, Jack went to Grandma and Grandpa's house for a nap while Karla, Tim and Mommy went to a place called the Swap Meet. Mommy said it reminded her of the Grandstand Shopping at the State Fair.

Back to pick-up Jack after shopping, they watched him ride his tricycle and play with bubbles.

They all decided to not go out to eat and grill instead. So, they headed to the grocery store (AJ's - better than Byerly's) to pick up everything. Look what they found to drink?

After dinner, Mommy and Karla went out for a little girl time. There are those Margarita's again!

Mommy got up early the next day to work a little (careful not to wake-up Jack), but when he did get up he wanted to play one last game with Mommy before she left. Candy Land.

Before leaving, Mommy and Karla headed to the spa for a hot rock massage. That doesn't sound really comfortable to me, but Mommy says it is the best. Both she and Karla were really relaxed afterwards and headed to lunch and a little shopping.

Mommy returned home to a snow storm and was a bit challenged getting home, but it is March in Minnesota.

Mommy said she had a fantastic time and can't wait to go back. Although I will miss her, I am glad she got to spend so much time with Karla, Tim and Jack. But next time she needs to wear sunscreen!
