Day 46 - COVID-19 2020

Guess what? It rained today. But the clouds parted and the sun came out late this afternoon and I was able to get out for a walk!

I joined Mommy for several calls today, but I eventually tired of all the talking

Of course I got some cuddles.

Day 45 - COVID-19 2020

Guess what? It's raining again. I know they sat April showers bring May flowers, so this rain better be making the flowers grow. Because all I can say is that the rain is screwing with my social life.

I slept most of the day (next to Mom) and woke up to try and steal a chip from Mommy.

But Mommy was on to me.

Day 44 - COVID-19 2020

It's raining again. But, Mommy got off her last call early. We were able to get outside. But half way through, it started to downpour. So, we had to run hone so I wouldn't be a wet, muddy rat.

Being out was still more exciting than the rest of thr day. Mommy had one very long video conference (she would have traveled to this meeting in Florida if we were not in our 'sit and stay' period).

Oh. I did help Mommy with. Virtual scavenger hunt. Can you tell from this photo what three things she found on her hunt?

Day 43 - COVID-19 2020

Today was just downright boring. It was raining again, so no walk.

I guess the best thing today was Mommy's statement of the day.

Day 42 - COVID-19 2020

No rain today! Finally. We got out for a long walk today (but of course we take our photo in the same place).

Mommy decided to go for a car ride today. The car has been parked for 2 weeks and she doesn't want the oil to get all sludgy and stuff. She went by the lake. She said the water looked appealing.

I stayed home and cuddled with Clancy.

Mommy also caught up with the Framily (for Sunday dinner of course).

And finally, Mommy's statement today is fitting of the name Grandpa has given Mommy; Sunshine.

Day 41 - COVID-19 2020

It has been raining all day. This is the third day this week I've been stuck inside.

All I could do was look cute.

Mommy got a few deliveries today, including a mask from Pride Masks (they are outfitting the police, fireman and paramedics here in Chicago).

Lysol wipes (one of the hardest items to find in quarantine).

And finally, glasses to help block Mommy's eyes due to all that screen time.

Day 40 - COVID-19 2020

Day 40 is not quite the same as day 1. The one thing for certain is that I'm still keeping my eye on Mommy.

And still getting snuggles.

And still going for walks.

And still making statements.

Day 39 - COVID-19 2020

Day 39. Enough said.

I stepped in for Mommy on her daily comms team call. I feel like I've got the hang of it since I hear her every day.

Then I slept.

Of course I kept my eye on Mommy wherever she went.

It was raining tonight, so I haven't been out for a walk yet (I hope it clears up soon).

It's Day 37 of this sit and stay. The rumor is the Governor is going to extend ours to the end of May. As they say, we'll cross that bridge when- and if - we get there.

My day consisted of keeping my eye on Mommy.

And sleeping.

And occasionally cuddling.

And a walk.
