Mommy met with her college roomies for lunch today. I don't think they look any different than they did back in college!

This Week in Pictures
Mommy snapped some pretty cool pictures of me this week.
Watching the Bond film.
Please, no pictures.
I'm Ready for My Close-up.
Watching Spartacus.
Oh, I can't forget to share with you the picture Nancy took of Mommy's fingernails. This month's color is Asphalt.

Girls Night
Mommy had some of her former work colleagues (i.e. friends) over for drinks/food last night. No wonder why Mommy was running around like a mad woman yesterday. She wanted to make sure everyone had something they liked. Oh, and the house had to be clean (although Karla told Mommy that she has the cleanest house on the block).
Darla, Lori and Shannan (who has two puppies of her own) are so nice. They spent time playing with me, feeding me (cheese, of course) and holding me.
We also got to see Lori's outfits for her upcoming television commercial shoot. Lori has lost 100 pounds in the past year! She looks great. Of course, Mommy loved her platform heels! And of course, I had to make an appearance.
Doesn't Lori look great!

Before, After
I got my hair cut today. You know how much I dislike getting my hair cut, but I do think I look a whole lot better!

Good Old Days
Mommy had dinner with Carrie last night at BW3s. Mommy tells me that she, Carrie and Kira used to eat (and drink) there twice a week when they all worked together.
Kira wasn't there, but Mommy and Carrie wished she was. So, Mommy dug out some old photos of all of them at BW3s a few years ago (at least 11-12 years ago).
I don't think they have changed a bit!

Belle
Mommy got to hang out with Belle tonight. She is getting so big. Mommy learned all about Belle's dolls and love for all things pink and purple.
Belle also enjoyed taking photos of Mommy. Thank you Belle for taking these photos of my Mommy.

Neighbors in Need
Mommy came home from running errands yesterday only to be stopped by the Rogers police department. They told her she couldn't get through to our house because there was a fire in the neighborhood. When Mommy looked down the street she was terrified that it was our house. And, since most of the fire trucks were parked in front of our house, I could see why.
I am thankful Mommy wasn't home for the fire because Mommy is terrified of fire. I kept a close eye on it the entire time - and I must admit I was a little scared too.
Chad, our neighbor, stopped by this morning to see how Mommy was doing. He asked if she was home and was happy to learn she wasn't. He was happy to hear that given the flames and smoke coming out of the house. Chad helped Mommy a few weeks ago when she came home to find all of the smoke detectors going off. The Rogers police and fire department came out to find out what was going on and Chad offered "moral" support once he learned Mommy was afraid of fire. Many of the same guys were helping our our neighbors yesterday.
Chad told Mommy that the fire was a result of a blocked dryer vent. Apparently there was a wasps nest in the vent somewhere that was causing the blockage. Our neighbor noticed something and when she opened the dryer door flames were shooting out. She immediately got everyone out of the house, including the kids.
It doesn't look like a lot of damage on the outside, but Chad told Mommy that the inside is basically totalled. Not only is there extensive smoke damage, but there are holes in the walls and floor (they had to make them to find the fire).
I'm just happy to learn that everyone is safe. But, I am sad that we won't see our neighbors for awhile. Chad told Mommy it would take some time to rebuild.
Please make sure to check your dryer vents and keep them clear!

Snow...Again
It has snowed the past couple of days and it is supposed to snow again tonight into tomorrow. It snowed enough on Friday that Mommy didn't have to clear the snow from the driveway. The big plow came to do that for her. But, it didn't snow enough last night for the big plow to come again. So, Mommy put on her winter gear this morning and did her best to clear all the snow away.
Me? I just stayed inside (where it was warm) and supervised the whole operation.

A Common Theme
All the pictures of me this week share a common theme...exhaustion. Whether it's running around with Mommy after she gets home from work, spending my nights cuddled next to Mommy while she is on a conference call or staying in bed while she goes to work early, it appears that I am always "exhausted." That's OK. What it really gets me is more time in bed to focus on one of my favorite activities...sleep.
