God Bless America

This week, Mommy had the opportunity to celebrate a very important milestone. Mommy's former boss, who brought us here to Chicago, officially became a U.S. citizen this week. He wanted to celebrate by going to a Chicago Blackhawks game.

Mommy was more than happy to go. She knew how cool it would be to be part of attending his first hockey game ever. It's somewhat hard to believe he never got into hockey until he moved to Chicago and caught the fever when the Blackhawks were in the 2015 Stanley Cup playoffs. I mean, he had lived in Minnesota - the state of hockey - for quite awhile and never got into the Wild.

Well needless to say, they had fun. But Mommy said the best part was the national anthem. When he shouted at the top of his lungs "land of the free," she understood just how monumental the day had been for him.

Congratulations Luca!

Luck of the Irish

Yesterday was St. Patrick's Day. It's a pretty big day here in Chicago (we'll get to that later).

My day started with one of my new favorite things...saint patty's day cookies. I love the green frosting  (just like my mama).

I realized later Mommy was buttering me up to take my yearly saint patty's day picture.

But there were more...

Mommy celebrated the day with a few of her friends. It was much more Mom's speed, given the craziness that was happening all around us.

Mommy still went down to the river to check out the green (I mean it wouldn't be St. Patrick's Day without a picture of the river).

There were lots of people partying through the night. But Mommy and I were safe inside enjoying the NCAA Basketball Tournament.

If I Could.Turn Back Time

If I could turn back time as Cher would say, I would have found another hour to sleep.

You Don't See This Often

I woke up yesterday to the sound of a helicopter. That's not unusual since the election. You see, I don' live far from the Trump building, so I've been used to helicopters for awhile now.

But imagine my surprise when I saw this.

Wow, was this close or what? And it was missing the cabin. But that's because it was moving very large metal boxes (Mommy said maybe air conditioning units).

Pretty cool, huh?

Spring Break

Mommy was on a business trip this week. And you know what that means...I got to play with my friends all week.

I have to mention that Mommy spotted a famous person in the in flight magazine. This guy - who shall remain nameless. He's the husband of one of Mommy's friends. In fact, she had dinner with him (and her friend) while on her trip.

I even made the social media feed of my boarding place. I'm really famous Now!

While I was playing with my friends, Mommy was presenting to 500 people. She does communicate for a living, but she dislikes public speaking. I heard she killed it, but Mommy doesn't want to talk about it.

Mommy picked me up yesterday morning. She tried to take my photo, but I wasn't having it (really I was just trying to make her feel bad for leaving me for the week).

I finally got to sleep in my own bed last night (and with my PEEP).
