Boating With Tom

Mommy and Daddy went boating with their friend Tom today. Karla and Tim were also along for the ride. They had a ton of fun (although it was a bit cold).

Tim was brave enough to enter the cold water and do some tubin'.

Mommy and Daddy want to thank Tom for having them over and for a fantastic afternoon.

Oh, and Tom has a new puppy. She is really cute. Her name is Maggie. Say hi to Maggie for me.

The State Fair

Mommy and Daddy went to the State Fair yesterday. It was a nice day to do it because it was cool (downright cold for Mommy, but she figured all of the people would help keep it warm on the State Fair grounds).

Mommy and Daddy went through all of the barns. They got to see baby animals in the Miracle of Birth barn. They saw a cow that was born on Friday. His name was Charlie and he weighed 100 lbs. at birth. Can you believe it? They also saw baby pigs at feeding time. They were also born the day before (a bit more my size, I would say).

Oh, and look at this one. The girl fell asleep in the hay and her cow is resting its head on her back. How cute. Daddy said he used to do this with his cow Jeffrey.

But, the highlight of the day was the bunny barn. You know how much Mommy loves bunnies (she had one, Flopsy, when she was growing up). I particularly like this first one. It looks like it has a mohawk.

They also got to see a cool parade - with Ronald McDonald and the Princess K of the Milky Way (State Fair Queen, I think).

And, of course, you cannot forget the food.

Daddy tried every year to eat his way through the fair, but he does a pretty good job of containing himself. But what he does eat is extremely messy.

What did I do while Mommy and Daddy were at the State Fair? Slept.

The Family

I asked Mommy if I could share with you some photos from their weekend with the family. She said it was OK.

My Summer Vacation

Hi everyone. I spent the weekend at my favorite place - day camp! And I got to stay overnight! How cool is that.

Mommy and Daddy went to spend the weekend with Daddy's family, but they couldn't bring me along (the hotel did not allow pets). Bet, that was OK. I got to hang out with my friends all weekend. Parker was there on Saturday and we played a lot. So, I didn't mind that Mommy and Daddy were away.

But, I was a bit bummed to learn that Mommy and Daddy got to see Clyde yesterday. Aunt Angie, Uncle Rock and the girls were camping nearby and they brought Clyde.

I asked Daddy why he and Mommy didn't go camping and he said that is because Mommy's idea of camping is pitching a tent on the floor of the Holiday Inn. Not cool, Mommy. I told Daddy he should work on convincing Mommy to go camping next time so I can come along.

Mommy and Daddy also got to meet Grandpa and Mary Pat's new dog, Panda. Mommy and Daddy say she is really nice, but very strong.

I had a great time with all of my friends, but I am now home with my Mommy and Daddy. And, for all of those who think I am a bundle of energy all of the time, I am not. This next picture proves it. This is what most of you don't see. But, when I leave my favorite place, I crash.
