This week, it was Mommy's turn to take care of me while Daddy went on a business trip. Jeepers, it seems like Mommy and Daddy are gone on trips a lot. But, the best thing is they haven't been out at the same time together.

I had a lot of fun with my Mommy. When Daddy is gone, I like to wake Mommy up in the middle of the night to play with her. She doesn't always find this amusing, but I know she loves it! Most of the time, I just lay on her tummy - or side - and fall back asleep.
Mommy took me to my favorite Pet store last night. She put on my Coach collar (which I don't where at home) and made sure to bring along my Coach leash (she likes me to look my best all of the time). As a side note, I should mention, I am wearing my Coach collar in the picture above (although my fur hides it). Can you spot the red fire hydrant on my collar?
Anyways, now here is the rest of my story. I got to run around and meet new people and new dogs! I love it. The floor is quite slippery, though. So, I am exhausted by the time I come home.
Mommy bought me my favorite bones (and I like a new flavor...steak). She also let me pick out a new toy to come home with. I sniffed several before I landed on a donkey. But, there is special significance to the donkey. Mommy says that the Donkey is the symbol of the democratic party (I sniffed the elephant, but I didn't like it as much. Plus, I already have an elephant Katrina gave me). It has the number 2008 stitched on its side (it represents this election year). Mommy said that I made a good choice (and similar to the choice my cousin Jackson made in the Iowa Caucaus). I am not about to endorse a candidate, but I feel as though I can now may an educated decision on Super Duper Tuesday (that is when Minnesotans head to the voting booth). You will have to wait and see if I go for the elephants or the donkeys...
