The Pool

Mommy traveled on business this week. She had a hamburger she said might be better than Au Cheval.

She stayed at a hotel that was an art gallery. Her bathroom tiles had body parts on them.

And the hotel is famous for its yellow penguins. Mommy said they were all over the place.

And she even spotted a boy-bander at dinner (Drew Lachey from 98 degrees).

Me, well I hung out with my friends and got to try the pool.

I'll admit, I wasn't so keen on the pool. I just hung out in the shallow end.

But,  I had a great time and have been pretty much sleeping ever since.

I'm Smiling

Hey Grandpa Mac, I'm smiling. I've heard you were wondering where my smile was since most of the pictures Mommy posts lately have been taken of me right before she leaves the house. I'm sad when Mommy isn't with me.

But today,  I told Mommy she better get one of me smiling.  And she did. Right when we were coming back from my morning walk.

The Taste

Mommy went to the Taste of Chicago yesterday. On her way, she snapped a few photos as famous landmarks.

She had some really good food. And on her way back, she hung out at the new Chicago Riverwalk.

Mommy says it's really nice and that it's dog friendly. If it's nice today she says we can go there for our walk.

As for me,  I hung out in my favorite place.

Fourth of July

I'm behind in my posts, so didn't get to.tell you about the 4th in Chicago. Mommy said there were lots of people out because of all the events happening including the Grateful Dead concert.  Mommy snapped a few photos, but opted to.spend much of the day with me.

She did see Fireworks - and good ones too - with friends who live in the suburbs. She thought that would be better than trying to.fight all the crowds downtown.

I'm 8 Today

Happy Birthday to me. I'm 8 today. I'll be honest, 8 was none to happy about having to get out of bed early just so Mommy could take a picture of me in my birthday hat. But maybe I can play this to my advantage (more presents perhaps).
