National Dog Day

Mom tells me that it's National Dog Day. That means, she says, that all eyes are on me. But, I told Mom that even on this day, I keep all eyes on her.

Before and After (and in between)

I knew something was happening when Mommy came home a little early on Tuesday. She immediately put my leash and collar on. I was hoping we were not going to visit the Vet again. And I was ecstatic when I realized we were on the way to see my friends.

Mommy had to travel this week and needed to get up really early on Wednesday to go to the airport. She ran into a very long line.

Mommy said her flight was really rough. They had to fly through some really big storms. Once she landed, she made her way to the office to get into another car to go to another office. And more bad weather.

She eventually managed bumper-to-bumper traffic to have dinner with Grandpa Mac and Grandma.

Grandpa told Mommy she couldn't have dessert at dinner because he made her brownies.

Mommy said they were really good. She was able to stay with Grandma and Grandpa this trip, but she had to leave really early to make it to the office on time.

She eventually made it home after a very long flight delay due to weather.

This is how she found me on Friday. A tad bit messy - and all worn out - from playing with my friends.

Clean Bill of Health

I went to see Dr. Silverman yesterday for my annual check up.

I sure did have to wait a long time. There were a few dogs who weren't feeling quite well and he needed to take care of them first. At one point, I could hear a dog crying and I started to whine for him.

But,  I quickly gathered myself when Dr. visited. He checked me all over and told Mommy I was really, really healthy. He also told her that I'm middle-aged, not old!
