Upset Tummy

I've given Mommy quite a scare this week. I got sick - threw up in fact. I don't get sick and I rarely throw up. Mommy knew something was really wrong because part of my favorite treat came back up. And then, I started having issues with my bowel movements. So much so that Mommy had to take me to the emergency Vet very early in the morning.

I tried to put on a good face for the Vet, but I was pretty tired. My body was working overtime to get the bad stuff out of my Tummy.

My bloodwork was perfect and my Xrays revealed no apparent reason for my upset Tummy. So the Vet felt it was a single episode upset Tummy. I stayed at the Vet for the day though. Mommy wanted to make sure I started to feel better right away. So I got IV fluids and an ultrasound (just to make sure I didnt have a blockage not detected on the X-Ray).

The Vet called Mommy a couple of times during the day and talked about how "I was making eyes at the staff." Mommy knew right away I must be feeling better because what Inwas really doing was flirting with the ladies.

I got to go home later that night. And the best part about having an upset Tummy is that I now have to have a bland diet. Who knew chicken was a bland diet? I love chicken.

Further evidence I was feeling better was my insistence that I watch the chicken being made and waiting for it to cool before I ate it.

Saturday is for Cleaning

Saturday is for cleaning. At least that is what Mommy says. I say Saturday is for observing the cleaning.

Happy Thanksgiving

Today is Turkey Day. Mommy and I went for a long walk.

We chilled out the rest of the day until Mommy had to go meet her friends for the Thanksgiving meal. For the third year in a row, she went to Shaw's Crab House. She had a great time with Fernando, Ali and her Mom.

What's Up Doc?

I had to go to the Doctor's office today for my twice-yearly exam. Like Mommy, I'm not a fan of the Doctor. But, not because she not nice, but because I just don't like to be poked and prodded.

I had to wait a bit to see the Doctor, so I tried to make friends with the other animals in the waiting room (a snake, a lizard, two cats and another dog).

But mostly I kept my eye out for the Doctor.

I finally got called back to see the Doctor, but they me me wait more. This time, I tried to find a way out.

I soon realized there was no way out and slowly give up.

Finally, the Doctor comes in and performs an exam. She tells Mommy I'm very healthy. As a reward for being so food while the Doctor did the exam, gave me two shots and drew blood, I got cheese from the can.

I am worn out from all that excitement, so have been laying low this afternoon.

Rachel Was Here

Rachel is in town on business (she moved to Florida a few months ago). She spent the afternoon with me yesterday.

Again

Mommy was in Pensacola again this week. She thinks this trip was her last to Florida for the year. Having said that, she was there on election night. She learned that Pensacola is in the most conservative county in the state of Florida. Mommy was definately out of place and had to keep her mouth shut on Tuesday.

Of course I played with my friends. I figured out what they were doing with my food so I appeared disinterested so they would cuddle with me more. Whatever it takes, right?

I was pooped to say the least.

Oh, and Auntie Rachel is here. She moved to Florida a few months ago, but is back in town on business. She and Mommy went to Aunt Linda's tonight to meet Toulouse
