Sunday Racing

The Sunday before Memorial Day is the best day for racing for the whole year. I've written about it many times on my blog, but it doesn't get old.

Mommy and I were up early yesterday to watch the F1 (Formula 1) race from Monaco. The race started under rainy conditions (Indy and NASCAR do not race in the rain).

The rain stopped for most of the race. It was a good race, but exciting at the end because it ended up under rainy conditions.

After the race, I told Mommy it was time to get ready so we could go outside for my walk. I wanted t get it in before the Indy 500 started. Mommy didn't get finished getting ready until after the start of the race

I went out for a walk shortly after the race began. Once we got back, I assumed position on the couch and watched the rest of the race. It was also an exciting finish given some cars needed fuel. Ultimately, an American - and a rookie - won the race. And, he ran out of fuel on his victory lap. How close!

Mommy wasn't able to watch the NASCAR race with me. She had plans to go to a friends house for drinks and food. But, her friend was nice enough to turn the race on later in the evening and she got to see Martin Truex Jr. (who led much of the race), win.

It was a great day! I slept in today because I was so exhausted watching all the racing.

Until the next Memorial Day weekend...

I'm Home

I'm home after a long week at day care.

Mommy was traveling. She was learning all about something called digital marketing. Apparently, that's something Mommy does at her job. I guess she was learning about today's - and tomorrow's - trends. Ultimately, she was there to learn how to apply what she learned to support her company.

She spent all day inside in class. She said that was good, because the weather wasn't that great in San Diego. She did attend a couple of "networking" events. I didn't know what networking meant, so I asked. Mommy says it's when you talk to people you don't know about what you do in an effort to learn more things. So, I will just say it is like Facebook in real life!

One night, the "networking" group went on a boat in the San Diego harbor. Mommy said it was cold, but she enjoyed being on the water.

And on another night, they went to a baseball game.

Mommy said the ballpark is the home of the 2016 All-Star Game. Pretty cool. She even bought me this hat (although, she decided to wear it first).

Mommy said the conference was good, but she wanted to get home to be with me. I was sure happy to see her. I as worn out from playing with all my friends this week.

I was so excited when I got home that I ran, ran, ran all around the house. Mommy put me in bed so I would stop scratching the carpet. By then, I was so excited that I threw up. Mommy wasn't so pleased because she then spent the rest of Friday night cleaning all the bedding.

I spent the rest of the night cuddled with Mommy and sleeping.

Thanks again Mom for my hat!

What?

Rachel, Day 2

Mommy and I got invited to Rachel's house last night. Mommy told me I had to be on my best behavior. And, I was (well pretty much).

I spent the whole night exploring and keeping my eyes on things.

I kept trying to go to Rachel's bedroom because she has two cats and I wanted to say hi. But, the cats weren't as impressed with me. So, Rachel blocked the hallway so we could stay on our "sides".

Mommy, Rachel and Bobbi (she was there too) had sushi for dinner.

Bobbi dropped an edammame bean on the floor and I ate it. So tasty, I kept going back to Mommy for more.

After dinner, Rachel took me for a long walk. I even saw green stuff (don't see that a lot in the city).

I was exhausted after the walk, but had such a great time.

Thanks again for having us!

Rachel

Mommy and her friend Rachel went out for dinner last night. But before they did, Rachel stopped by to play with me. I had so much fun!

I was bummed when they left, but Rachel did come back after dinner and we played (and cuddled) some more before she want home.

I hope she comes back soon!

Happy Mother's Day

Dear Cosmo,

The role of my life is being your mother. While some say that I'm not a Mom simply because I do not have "human" children, I believe differently. I work to ensure you have a roof over your head, a comfortable place to sleep, food in your bowl and for you to experience all that is great in this world.

I haven't slept un-interrupted since I brought you home. I worry when you're sick. I miss you when I'm not with you. And, I adjust my schedule just to be able to spend as much time with you as possible.

But most of all, I look forward to seeing your happy face each and every day.

I couldn't imagine my life without you. You have taught me to be more patient and kind. You help me conquer my fears. You make me forget all the negative and help me to focus on the positive.

You make sure I live life to the fullest every day. You are simply the greatest gift I've ever received. So on this Mother's Day, I want to thank you Cosmo for boundless joy you've brought to my life.

Derby Saturday

In a weak moment, I let Mommy put one of her facinators on me to get into the Kentucky Derby mood.

Mommy looked much better in it that me.

But, I did enjoy playing dress up with her even if I did look ridiculous.

Sunday Selfie

Dreary

Is it time to go outside?

What do you mean we can't go outside right now?

You mean it's raining again? I'm so bummed. Looks like a hallway run is in my future.
