Daddy is My Guitar Hero

I know what you are thinking...Daddy, a guitar hero? But, to me he is. I really get excited when Daddy starts to play the guitar.

Fun, I know. But, I kinda get super tired when Daddy chases me around the house while playing the guitar.

Before I fall asleep, I want to say Happy Birthday to Grandma McHugh. Her birthday is tomorrow - but I don't want to forget. Plus, did you know, my birthday is only a couple of days later than Grandma's! I wonder what Mommy and Daddy are going to get me for my birthday?

Also, I want to ask that everyone keep Katrina and Korissa's Grandma in their thoughts and prayers. Kira's Mom is not feeling so good and we want her to know that we are thinking of her.

Chillin'

Hi everyone. I have just been chillin' out this week.

I began the week very worried about Grandma McHugh. She was in the hospital this week. I really appreciate all of the doctor's efforts in helping find what was wrong with Grandma. And, I want to especially thank my Grandpa for taking such good care of Grandma. I ask all of you to keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

I did get to go to Day Camp this week. And, of course, I played with Lacey and Baxter. Mommy found out that Lacey's birthday is only a week later than mine. Maybe we can have birthday party together. That would be super fun. Before I forget, I want to say hi to "Aunt Vickie." She always takes such good care of me.

Daddy took me to get my nails trimmed and teeth brushed yesterday. I was hoping I might see Lacey. She told me she was going to be there on Saturday. But, when I went to see her, she was resting. I didn't want to bother her. Oh well, it would have been nice to see her, but I am sure I will see her on Wednesday.

I had a surprise visitor last night. Mommy brought home someone she works with. Her name is Louisa. She was very nice and she played with me. Mommy told me she was from a place called Hong Kong. I looked it up on the map this morning and she is a long ways from home. I feel so cool now that I got to meet someone from so far away.

Well, I am just going to spend the rest of my weekend chillin'.

Happy Father's Day

A big shout-out to my Daddy. Happy Father's Day, Daddy!

He is the coolest dad on the planet. He takes care of me during the day when Mommy is at work - and he takes care of me when Mommy goes on trips for business. He even lets me fall asleep in his arms when I am really tired.

Speaking of going out of town, Mommy was in New Orleans this past week on business. She got home super early on Wednesday morning (2 a.m.!). Her flight got delayed leaving Chicago. Daddy says that Chicago is one of the worst places to fly out of. I guess he was right.

Anyways, Mommy didn't get a whole lot of time to do sight seeing in the Big Easy, but she did go to Bourbon Street.

She even had the famous "Hurricane" at Pat O'Brien's.

She also got to go to this really cool place called Mardi Gras World. Apparently it is the place where they build and store all of the Mardi Gras floats for the famous parade.

Doesn't Mommy look funny in this mask!

Anyways, Daddy and Mommy went to see Grandpa Ring for father's day today. And, before I forget, Happy Father's Day to Grandpa McHugh.

Mommy and Daddy took me to Doggy Day Camp to play. Lacy wasn't there (but her Mommy was) - but I still had a blast anyways. Now, I am tired and need to get my beauty rest.

If You Think Mel Gibson is Brave...

I know I could give him a run for his money. Yes, that's right, I believe I am more brave than Mel Gibson (or at least the character he played in Braveheart).

Anyways, I went and got my haircut this week (a special thanks to Julie who always does a great job). Anyways, she told Daddy she thought I might have allergies because of some thinning hair on my paw and a small spot on my back. So, Daddy called Mommy immediately and Mommy wanted me to see the Vet. So, I went and saw the Vet on Thursday. In order to rule out things like dust mites, she had to take a "skin" sample. So, she asked Daddy to hold on to me, tight, so she could cut open my skin.

Well, I wasn't much of a fan of what she was doing, but I didn't flinch a bit. I didn't bark, bite, whine, push back or wiggle. Simply put, I took it like a man. The Vet was so proud of me. She said she hadn't seen a dog remain that calm. Well, she may not know how special I am, so I will give her a break this time. But, next time, she should realize how cool I am :-).

Anyways, you will be happy to know that I don't have dust mites. The Vet recommended some children's Benadryl. She thinks that will help. Also, she said I should get a bath once a week - yuck. If those things don't work, then she says I have to come back in for more tests to see if I am allergic to my food (it's yummy, so I don't think I would be allergic to it).

Daddy is under strict orders to take good care of me while Mommy is out of town. She is going to New Orleans for work tomorrow. I really miss my Mommy when she is away for work - but that just means I get to spend more time with my Daddy! Also, I think it will give me time to catch-up on my sleep.
