It's My Bed

Mommy and Daddy let me sleep in their bed at night. But, they are quickly coming to the realization that it is really my bed and I let them sleep in it most of the time.

In fact, Mommy and Daddy are working on the laundry this morning. Mommy and Daddy started taking the sheets off the bed, but I didn't want to leave. So, I just stayed on the comforter and Mommy and Daddy had to figure out how to take the sheets off around me. Ha. Ha.

Well, of course I wasn't ready to get down so Daddy tucked me back-in. What can I say, the bed is really comfy.

Are you ready for some football?

I am.

Today is the start of the NFL season. I am very excited and hope the Vikings do well (and the Bears). Daddy thought it was necessary that I have my own jersey this year. I like it, I just don't like to wear it. I now know what it feels like to be a football player - squeezing your body into one of the jersey's is not easy. Trust me.

Deep in the Heart of Texas

That's right, Mommy and Daddy have just returned from Texas. The Woodlands, specifically. If you are not sure where The Woodlands it at, it is just outside of Houston, Texas. Think of it as a suburb, but different.

Anyways, Mommy and Daddy went to Texas to visit Grandma and Grandpa. That's right. They moved from Wisconsin to Texas last month. See the picture of their new house below.

I like it, don't you? Mommy and Daddy say it is really nice. The home was only built a few years ago, so everything is like new.

Mommy and Daddy spent most of their time helping Grandma and Grandpa unpack boxes, hang shelves, organize and help put beds back together (that was Daddy's job).

And, they even got to have real Texas barbecue (something Daddy was really looking forward to).

Grandpa also took Mommy and Daddy back to the "old neighborhood." You see, Mommy used to live in Texas when she was younger, not far from Grandma and Grandpa's new home in the Woodlands. Mommy said things sure look different.

Oh, and Mommy wants everyone to know that the ice skating rink in the Galleria Mall is still there.

Anyways, I spent the week with Clyde and the Girls. I had a blast, but I must apologize for Caroline for "biting" her. You see, she wanted to come over and say hi to me. I was on Aunt Angie's lap and for whatever reason, Caroline spooked me and I bit her face. It wasn't deep, but I still feel horrible. Caroline and I got along just fine after that, but Mommy and Daddy were none to pleased to learn I had been a bad boy. I am sorry Caroline.

Thank you for taking such great care of me while Mommy and Daddy were away. I will see you soon.
