And Evening With Jack

Jack was here. Jack's Mommy, Karla, texted my Mommy on Sunday when she was out running errands to ask if she could watch Jack for a few hours. Their babysitter was under the weather and wasn't going to be able to make it. Karla and Tim are in couples golf league and with the season being so short they didn't want to miss it.

Of course Mommy said yes. And Mommy said Jack was welcome to come over to our place. So, Mommy rushed home to get everything ready - and to tell me he was on his way over.

Jack came with all of his toys  (in a suitcase)- and dinner.

I first showed Jack around - including my favorite place (the balcony).

We first played with Play Doh...

...then we played with Lego's and his cars.

Then we put a few puzzles together before Mommy made Jack his dinner.

Jack decided that he wanted to eat out on the balcony (I think that really was his favorite place).

After dinner, Jack took me for a walk. When we got back I took him to the rooftop deck so he could see where he lived and the airport!

Mommy also discovered that Jack was still hungry - even after eating his dinner - so she gave him my favorite treat...Cheerios.

And then they just got silly.

Not too long after Jack finished his Cheerios, Karla and Tim showed up to take him home. But, not before they ate their Blizzards they brought (they got Mommy the 'Smore blizzard).

I loved having Jack over, but he sure did wear me out.

Lazy Sunday Morning

I've spent the morning watching the Hungarian Grand Prix. For those of you not familiar, it is the F1 race. I don't think Grandpa is going to be too happy...a Ferrari did not win :(.

Cracked Rear View

The weather has been quite chilly this weekend. It feels more like October than July. But, one positive of the weather for me has been the discovery of a new window in the apartment.

I've never noticed it before. But, Mommy opened yesterday to let the cool air in.

I must say that Mommy was not as excited about the discovery as I was. I could see all the people walking by with their puppies and you know what that means...barking. Hey, I just want them to know I'm here.

Country Jam

Mommy wrapped up her vacation week by going to Country Jam with Katie and Shannon. Shannon lives near the Country Jam site and they wanted to the Friday night headliner...Kelly Clarkson.

Katie came to get Mommy so they could drive to Shannon's together.

They survived the car ride by singing some of their favorite songs from their college years. Katie likes it when Mommy sings.

They even got to visit with Shannon's daughter Brynn. She is getting so big.

Once they headed over the venue, they got something to eat and drink. Everyone had mugs so Mommy and Katie had to get a mug. They decided to splurge and get the one that lighted up.

They also met up with Shannon's husband Jason.

Then, it was time to find their seats and enjoy the show.

Mommy had a great time - even though she got home really early this morning.

Vacation for the Two of Us

Mommy went on vacation this week - and so did I.

I was really proud of Mommy for making the decision to take some downtime and to go somewhere fun - and new - on vacation.

Mommy went to Puerto Rico. She sure took a small amount of luggage for such a long plane ride and trip.

Anyway, she spent much of the time exploring Old San Juan, visiting the sites, walking the streets, looking at architecture and shopping for jewelry.

She also spent a little time at the pool and reading books.

All in all she had a great trip. Enough about her. Now about me.

The start to my vacation wasn't the best. I wasn't so nice to another dog, but I quickly recovered.

I attended a Fourth of July bash and played with all my friends (and Auntie Vicky of course).

Then I got a great surprise. Jack and Karla stopped by for a visit.

It was so great seeing them. I was so excited that I thought I was going home. But, they told me they were just checking on me so they could share how I was doing with Mommy. They said I would be going home in a few days.

Then, Mommy came to pick me up today! I was waiting in the same place as I was when Jack and Karla came for a visit.

I'm so happy to be home and back in the arms of my Mommy.
