Pool Time

Jack came today to play in the pool. But first, Mommy made Jack lunch (cheese quesadilla).

Karla brought some sweet corn on the cob too (a favorite of Mommy's).

When Jack got done eating, he decided to chase me around the apartment. But, I got a little tired.

Jack was a little confused and kept asking me to come out. But, I was tired.

So, I got to catch up on my sleep and Mommy took Jack and Karla to the pool.

Jack had a great time - and so did Mommy and Karla.

I can't wait for Jack to come back again...so I hope that is soon!

Pooped

Too much fun with Auntie Vicki this week.

Road Trip

Mommy and I took a road trip today. It has been a long time since I have had to ride in my crate. I think the last time was to Grandma and Grandpa's house before they moved to Texas.

Anyway, I decided to settle in for what I thought was going to be a long ride. Mommy didn't tell me where we were going, only that I would be playing with other puppies when I got there.

So imagine my surprise when less than 20 minutes later, Mommy stopped and put the car in park. Well, it wasn't exactly the destination I was hoping for...the gas station.

You can probably tell by the look on my face that I was not all that excited about being at the gas station. But, I was glad when Mommy got back in and said we were continuing onto our destination.

So, I settled in again for a long ride. And it was definitely much longer. I dozed off while Mommy sang along to the tunes (Katie would be proud).

I was so excited when we finally arrived at our destination. Do you know why? I got to see Sydney.

And I finally got to meet her dogs Murphy and Chloe. They are a lot bigger than me and I was a little intimidated at first. But, I eventually warmed up to both of them.

Even better, I got to run around in a big back yard (I kinda miss my old yard). Chloe like to follow me around and most of the time I didn't mind.

Mommy, Stacia and Sydney headed out to Artigras while I stayed with David, Murphy and Chloe. Sydney hung out with her Dance team while Mommy and Stacia shopped. They both found a few things, but Mommy had the most interesting find of the day. A new hat.

Trust me, it looks much better in person. This picture does not do it justice.

After Sydney wrapped up with her Dance team, Mommy and Stacia took her to get some ice cream and Henna. She got an elephant (one of my favorites).

Once back, Mommy learned that I had been a really good boy (like she would expect anything less).

I had a great time hanging out with David and my new friends today! Thank you. And, I know Mommy loved seeing Stacia and Sydney. I can't wait to do it again!

The Birthday Week

The week started off with a celebration of Mommy's birthday.

First up, Auntie Bernadette. She took Mommy out to lunch at one of their favorite places; Salut!

They had a few cocktails and a few desserts (courtesy of Salut).

Mommy had a great time with Auntie B. She gave Mommy some beautiful gifts from her recent ravels in India and smell stuff (of course).

Mommy came home just in time to see me feeling much better - and to talk to Grandpa and Grandma.

Grandpa and Grandma wanted to talk to Mommy before her birthday. Plus, they hadn't seen our new place yet, so Mommy was able to given them a virtual tour via Skype. Grandpa thought it was "Bold' and Grandma was just happy to know we live in a nice place.

Then, the Birthday. Mommy got a lot of nice cards and messages from her friends. Monique even sent flowers.

But, Mommy really enjoyed her time with Karla and Nancy. Yes, Nancy. After all of these years, I finally got to meet Nancy. And she did not disappoint.

It looks like Mommy had a ton of fun.

I'm so happy that Mommy has such great friends! Thanks to all of you for making Mommy's day special!

And Katie, this one is for you!

Upset Tummy

I had an upset tummy yesterday. Mommy was so worried because I was just laying down - and on the floor (not too common).

Mommy was so worried (as she always is when I'm not quite myself), that she started to take pictures of her and I before she went to get her nails done.

It's not like I was that sick (geez). At least I convinced her to see Nancy. Plus, It was Nancy's birthday earlier this week (she is a Leo like Mommy) and we got her a gift and I told Mommy she had to get it to her. I hear Nancy loved what we got her, BTW.

Mommy was going to run errands after her nail appointment, but Mommy was so worried about me that she came home. I - of course - was feeling better by the time she got home and was able to go outside and spend some time on the balcony.

But, I was able to convince Mommy that I still didn't feel all that great just so she would cook me dinner (ground beef and rice). It's not so often that Mommy cooks.

BTW, I'm feeling much better today!

An Art Fair Weekend

Mommy spent time this weekend at all the Art Fairs happening in the Twin Cities this weekend. And you know what, she got to go with Jack to one of them.

Mommy, Karla, Tim and Jack went to the Uptown Art Fair on Friday night. I was bummed I didn't get to go, but of course I was excited to see Jack!

Mommy had a lot of fun, but she said she wasn't impressed this year with the Uptown Art Fair.

But, there was more. But before Mommy went with Karla to the art fairs on Saturday, she ran errands. And she took me with her because she was getting this for me.

I enjoyed the ride, but it didn't last long.

Back to the art fairs. Karla came over and had lunch and then Mommy put on her walking shoes and headed out.

They went to the Loring Park art fair first and had success! Then, they stopped at the "art park" for a rest and a few pictures.

Then, they headed over to the Powderhorn Art Fair. Mommy had to parallel park (and she is horrible at it). But, Karla helped by guiding her a bit.

But, she was ultimately successful! BTW...they have decided they don't need to go back tot he Powderhorn Art Fair again.

After a long day, Mommy and Karla had a few drinks and appetizers at a restaurant across the street (at least I could keep my eye on them).

And while Mommy was gone, I was resting (no surprise).

Today, we are just hanging out at home and recovering from the busy weekend.
