Camped Out!

This week I went to Doggy Day Camp 3 times. I must admit, I was exhausted after day 2. I wasn't' sure how I was going to keep up on Friday, but I managed. Plus, this week, I met a couple new puppies that I am rather fond of...Tippy and Lacey. My camp counselors told Mommy and Daddy that I was really into Lacey by putting a heart next to her name on my progress report (how embarrassing).

I also got to do something new this week...ride in the front seat of Mommy's car. I was so tired, Mommy didn't feel like putting me in her crate. So, I laid down on the front seat and chilled while Mommy navigated the evening rush hour traffic. The following morning, when Mommy took me back to camp, I got a little scared. There were so many loud noises (Semi's kinda scare me) that I leaped into Mommy's arms while she was driving fast down the road. Good thing Mommy is a good driver or she told me we could have gotten into an accident. I told her I wouldn't do it again...I will be brave next time. Plus, that morning, Mommy and I saw a police chase (but we didn't know it until later). It was a bank robbery gone bad and the police were chasing the bad guy as he threw the money he stole from the bank out of the car. After Mommy dropped me off, she told me that there were lots of police out on the highway picking up the money the bad guy threw on the road. Now, that is something you don't see everyday.

It was warm enough yesterday that Daddy was able to take me out for a walk. I had so much fun. There were lots of people out yesterday. I ran into a few kids on roller blades that wanted to play with me. Daddy told them it was OK and I had so much fun. I was a little dirty when I got home that Mommy said I would have to have a bath.

I had my bath this morning. I want to thank Grandma for my new bath towels. They really did the job. So well in fact, that I didn't have to sit under the hair dryer for very long!

Now, I am all clean and ready to face the day!

Bright Lights, Big City and My Week With My Friends

Here, I stand before you, as a puppy who didn't quite know what was in store for him this week. But, I can say now, things couldn't have worked out any better.

Mommy and Daddy went on vacation this week to Las Vegas (we will get to that a little later) and my Aunt Angie wasn't able to take care of me (like she did the last time). So, Mommy and Daddy decided to take me to my favorite place. They figured I always came back happy from their and I was comfortable with the people (and they were right). I had a blast (thanks to Mommy and Daddy).

It was so cool! I thought I was going to Puppy Day Camp when Mom and Dad took me on Wednesday morning. And, I was going to camp. What I didn't know what that I would be staying the night. I loved it. There were so many puppies (and kitties) there. The other puppies said that their families were on spring break (I guess it is a vacation that happens in the spring). I didn't care what it was. I was just so excited to play with the other puppies. Mommy and Daddy upgraded me so that I would get some more play time and treats (boy, how I love them both). Then, I got a bath right before I left (Mommy likes me to smell all nice and fresh).

Anyways, I love my Aunt Angie and my cousin Clyde, but I will go back there any day!

Now, as for my Mommy and Daddy, they were having themselves a ball in Las Vegas.

They stayed at the Bellagio (how posh). They were upgraded (kinda like me). They had reserved a suite - but on the back side of the hotel, as the rooms that overlooked the famous fountains were much more expensive. But, much to Mommy and Daddy's surprise, upon check-in, they informed them that they had been upgraded with a room that had a partial view of the fountains. But, when they arrived in their room, they realized that basically had a full view of the fountains.

Mommy and Daddy took it easy on their first night. They had a lovely dinner at FIX (at the Bellagio) and then headed down to Freemont Street. I guess this is where a lot of the old Casino's are located. Mommy and Daddy had a great time - and Mommy even won $14 at the Penny Slots (hi-roller, I know).

Mommy and Daddy spent the next couple of days shopping, getting pampered at the salon, gambling, eating, sitting out at the pool, calling to check on me and taking in the sites (not necessarily in that order). They said all of the casino's were really busy, as the first weekend of the NCAA basketball tournament was going on. Mommy and Daddy both put money down a couple of teams (Mommy lost, Daddy won).

The Sports Book at Caesar's

Mommy and Daddy even made a special trip over to the Wynn to visit a place Grandpa McHugh would like...The Ferrari Store. I know he really would have liked it.

Outside the Wynn

Daddy took this picture outside of the Wynn. Mommy told me this was once a big and famous hotel. But, Mr. Trump and some investors purchased the hotel and land around it, tore it down, and are now building a luxury hotel and condos on the site.

Later that night, Mommy and Daddy went back to the Wynn for dinner and a Broadway musical.

They finished the night back at the Bellagio and took pictures of the Atrium. Apparently, they change out the theme frequently. This time the theme was "Spring!"

I am home now and resting comfortably. Mommy and Daddy were so excited to see me - and I was excited to see them. The people who had been taking care of me over the past few days were sad to see me go. I was too - but I know that Mommy and Daddy will take me back their again.

Oh, and for all of you who were wondering, yes, Mommy did bring home a couple of new purses.

Until the next time...

A Busy Week

Hi everyone! I have had such a busy week.

It didn't start out that great. Daddy took me to see Dr. Tawnia on Monday. Mommy discovered a large scab on my chin and she was worried (I was hoping Mommy and Daddy wouldn't notice). She wanted to make sure that everything was OK and I didn't have an infection. Dr. Tawnia is really nice, but usually when I see her, I get really scared. She shaved around the area of my scab and then cleaned it out (basically, she took off the scab). She asked Daddy what I might have been doing and she thinks (and I could have told her) that I might have received a scrape when I was playing with my friends at Doggy Day Care. She said I was fine, but told Daddy he would need to put medicine on it for a couple of days. I hate the medicine. Mommy and Daddy have to hold me down...and they try to keep me still but...I hate the stuff. It stings. But, yesterday was my last day of treatment!

On Wednesday, I went back to visit my friends at Doggy Day Care. I had so much fun. I made a new friend, Ringo. I had so much fun playing with him. Everyone is so nice to me there. I can't wait to go back.

Finally, Daddy figured out how to get the pictures off of the new camera so I could share some with you this week.

The Best Week Ever

Hi everyone. The best week ever...kinda seems like I am implying that since I have been with Mommy and Daddy, last week was my best week ever. It really wasn't - as all of my weeks have been great (except for the week I had the big fix.) But, I needed something clever and this was all I could think of.

Anyways, I went to my favorite store this week for Puppy Day Camp. I was so excited to play with all of the other puppies. It was a dream come true. I had seen the puppies in day camp before when Mommy and Daddy would take me to the store and let me put my nose to the window of the playroom. I could hardly believe my eyes when I realized I was now the one inside the room. I had a blast. And, my camp counselors said I did great.

My report card comments are below:

Play Time
Fit, fun and full of energy. Likes to roam around and look out the window (just like at home).

Friend Time
Made lots of new friends. There were lots of new puppies to meet today.

Rest Time
Napped like a champ...z.z.z.z.z.z.z.z.z.

Potty Time
Took care of business. No problems :-)

The Whole Time
Had a big day, big fun, big smiles. We hope to see Cosmo again soon.

I was so excited to see Mommy and Daddy when they came and picked me up. I told them I had so much fun, so they are letting me go back this week.

The only downside to camp is that I come home pretty tired and can't really play with Mommy and Daddy (I think they really like the quiet time). Below are some pictures of me when I got home.

I would share more photos with you, but Mommy can't figure out how to get the pictures off of the new camera. Apparently she thought Daddy had read the instructions (I could have told her that he hadn't). Hopefully she will be able to figure it out by next week.

The New Me

Both Mommy and Daddy were home this week so life was pretty much back to normal. I don't really have any exciting stories. I got my haircut on Monday and Nancy, Mommy and Daddy's "cleaning lady" came to clean this week. Daddy told her that one of my favorite things to do is play with the vacuum cleaner. So, she let me play with hers. I made her laugh.

Anyways, here are a couple of pictures of me before and after the haircut.
