Still Summer Sailing in the Fall

We are experiencing an Indian Summer right now in Chicago. It was 90+ degrees yesterday and it is not summer any more.

Mommy and her friends took the boat out again. Why not? It was a beautiful day, and it wasn't as hot on the water. Mommy said it was refreshing.

Still Summer Sailing

It was a beautiful day here in Chicago (hard to believe it is the middle of September). So beautiful, that Mommy's friend Kathryn decided to do a rare morning sail. It looked beautiful.

Ravinia

Mommy made her first trek to Ravinia. She, Auntie Rachel, Auntie Linda, Auntie Elissa and Uncle Fernando got together to see Stevie Nicks (formerly of Fleetwood Mac). Pretty cool. Looks like they all had a fantastic time, although their picnic spread was not as elaborate as many others.

 

Fernando thought it would be funny to buy this "lighted" hat for the group. Honestly, they all look ridiculous in the hat.

Rachel made sure to bring along one of her Cuban cigars (she just got back from a vacation in Cuba).

Fernando ended up being Mommy's dance partner for the night.
