Fluffed and Buffed

I got my haircut today. And Mommy did the thing I never though she'd do. She let them cut my ears short.

French Fries

Surprise! Mommy brought home McDonald's french fries for me. She thought it would be a special treat for me since she treated herself to a mani/pedi today.

Chicken

Mommy made chicken this week and she made extra for me. Chicken is one of my absolute favorite things.

The Lake Effect

We got snow this week. But wow, was it a lot of snow in a very short period of time. It's something they call the Lake Effect here. Mommy and I have heard about it on the TV before, but we had never experienced it until this week. I was happy I got to say inside, out of the element. Mommy wasn't so lucky.

The storm started on Monday. It wasn't really that bad.

But then we woke up to this on Tuesday.

This is what Mommy looked like right before she walked into her building. Miserable.

And this is the calm after the storm. Mommy took this picture on her evening walk home.

It's St. Patrick's Day

Happy St. Patrick's Day. Here are all the outtakes from my photo shoot with Mommy.

Oh, and here's Mommy's co-worker Erika. Mommy made sure they had the St. Patrick's Day spirit for their morning stand up meeting.

And another first for Mommy...a shamrock shake from McDonald's.

Mommy also caught up with a few of the ladies (and Fernando) to "celebrate" the day.

Pictures of the Week

These are the pictures Mommy snapped of me this week.

Relaxed.

I love my PEEP.

Me hiding under the chair and Mommy's dress. I didn't want her to go to work.

And one more. A beautiful sunset as seen from Mommy's office.

St. Paddy's Day Fun

Another year in Chicago, the same tradition. Watch the river being dyed green and then party.

Mommy went to the river early yesterday. I went with her last year, but I got overwhelmed by the number of people. So, I stayed home. Plus, it was freezing outside.

On the walk to her spot, Mommy saw the boats and the crew that dye the river on their way to the starting point.

This is what the river look like when there is no green dye (it's not all that pretty).

Look at all the people!

Mommy got a really good spot this year.

How awesome are these pics?

After the fun at the river, Mommy came home to warm up. And, get ready to go out with her friends for the afternoon. They all met up a Bridge House (right on the river) and went to a few places before winding up at Wildfire (a favorite of Mommy's) for dinner.

What do you think of the headgear this year? Mommy made sure to get some - and beads - for all of the ladies.

And they even saw a leprechaun.

Oh, and someone had green beer. This appears to be unnatural to me (and Mommy doesn't drink beer...so that's a good thing).

Gorgeous.

And Auntie Bobbi finally made it (for dinner that is).
