Surprise

Mommy and Aunt Kristin have done it again.

They boarded a plane in Chicago yesterday morning to surprise Grandma Mac for her 70th birthday!

It was a good thing that they decided to fly in a day early. The flight was delayed a few hours due to bad hydraulics  (something Mommy knows a lot about).

Once they landed, they made their way to the balloon store to order some for today. They also picked up a few more things before heading to the hotel.

Auntie Kristin was worried that Grandpa Mac was going to tell Grandma that they were coming. But he assured Mommy and Auntie Kristin that he said nothing and Grandma suspected nothing.

So, Auntie Kristin and Mommy spent the day shopping. They finally got the balloons and headed over to the restaurant for the big surprise.

The restaurant was in on the surprise and let Mommy and Auntie Kristin pick a good table in order to surprise Grandma.

Once they got everything set, they headed to the bar to hide out until Grandpa and Grandma arrived.

Well, all I can say is that Grandma was completely surprised!

Happy to see Grandma!

A bit of history...Auntie Kristin and Mommy surprised Grandma 10 years ago today on her 60th birthday.

Happy Birthday, Grandma Mac

Happy Birthday to this beautiful lady (aka Grandma Mac).

Mommy and I wish you a very happy birthday!

Das Boat

Mommy sailed last night with her friends. She likes being out on the water. But most of all, she loves the view.

Mommy told me I could share her photos with all of you.

It looks like a good time was had by all!

What did I do while Mommy was out on the boat? I watched the #GameofThrones season finale.

Surprise Visit

Mommy and I went to Auntie Kristin's this week.

Mommy went to support Auntie Kristin's non-profit organizations she supports. I can't show you anything (yet), but just know that Mommy went back to her work roots this week and was using Illustrator and Photoshop a lot!

The car ride wasn't so long. The best thing is that I got to see a lot of green. In fact, I saw so much corn. Mommy says that you know it is going to be a good crop when the corn is knee high by the fourth of July. My guess is it's going to be a really great crop because most of the corn was already chest high.

Once we arrived, Mommy and Auntie Kristin had to leave to pick up a few things for their work. Mommy got to ride in Albert. Albert is Kristin's Mercedes convertible; a first for Mommy.

I stayed home - chillin'. I didn't destroy anything (for those of you who read my blog regularly, you'll see what I did the last time I was there).

Pretty much, that's all I did this week (again, Mommy and Auntie Kristin were working very hard).

Mommy did take several breaks to cuddle with me and take me for walks.

A few more highlights from the trip include a visit to Bradley University where Auntie Kristin has an office (she is the Executive Director of the Peoria Area World Affairs Council).

And, attending a PAWAC event where Auntie Kristin spoke about her work as a journalist. Mommy she did a fantastic job. Even Grandma Mac made an appearance (by audio that is).

I had a great time visiting with Auntie Kristin (and Uncle Eugene and Jackson Hareing as well). Thanks for having us.

Until next time...
