Mommy drove to Madison yesterday to catch up with her friends. I've been to Madison. Grandma and Grandpa used to live there.
Anyway, it was a pretty day and Mommy was able to see the colors of the tree's changing. Mommy liked that very much as we don't get to see that in Downtown Chicago.
Mommy had a great time with her friends (and so did I since I got to go to my new day care and have a slumber party with all my new friends).

More Horses
Mommy keeps seeing horses on her walks around the city. She finally found out what they are. They are called "The Horses of Honor." They are considered a public art installation benefiting the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation. To learn more, visit cpdmemorial.org.
Remembering Grandpa Ring
Grandpa Ring passed away on Friday with his family by his side. Although I know Daddy is hurting, I'm at peace knowing Daddy was with him and was able to say goodbye.
Grandpa Ring was a great man and I'm glad I was part of his life, even it if was for a short period of time.

Spotted, Horses.
Mommy keeps spotting these horses all around town. She's not exactly sure what they are for, but she is determined to find out for me. While she does that, enjoy the pictures of the horses she took on her walk today.
The Marathon
I woke up this morning and saw this...
...the Chicago Marathon. It was going right by our place. Can you believe it? So, I decided to hang out and watch all the incredible athletes (let's face it, Mommy would never do this).
I thought it was over once everyone left and the streetsweeper came out. But, nope. Mommy and I went on a walk and guess what, the Marathon was still going on and only one block away in the other direction. There were so many people running - and cheering all the runners on.

Pretty cool stuff. I'm really excited that we live here. Seems like this may not be the only big thing we get to see from up here.

Grandma and Grandpa are Here!
Grandma and Grandpa came to visit at my new home in Chicago (well, they probably came to see Mommy, but I would like to think I'm the most important one in the house).
Mommy wasn't here when they arrived, so I had time to show them around. I also got to have plenty of cuddles. In fact, I hopped right up onto Grandpa's lap and laid down (he was pretty surprised. I was still a puppy when he last saw me).
Grandma and Grandpa are staying at a hotel nearby, so I look for them every morning when they walk over to our place. I can see them from our window.
Mommy, Grandma and Grandpa have been hanging out with me a lot. When they aren't here, they have been going out to some really good restaurants to eat. And, they've also been going down memory lane as Grandma calls it. You see, Grandpa grew up in Evanston (not too far from our place) and Grandma went to school at Northwestern and lived right off of Michigan Ave. (right behind Water Tower Place). So, they were excited to see all the old places.
But, I must say I like it best when they are hanging out with me.
