Day 83 - Post COVID-19 City-Wide Lockdown

 It’s a terrific Tuesday. I’m feeling great and happy that today was my last day of taking a pill. But Mommy assures me I’ve got plenty of pain medicine left and she will continue to give it to me until my butt isn’t so sore.

And I got to go out for a walk today. Mommy has been a little paranoid in taking me outside and introducing me to possible bacteria. Let’s face it, I still have a small hole on my butt, so she doesn’t want me to get dirty or pick up strange things from outside. But she decided I had healed enough for my walk. It was great to be out and see some familiar faces. Looking forward to doing it again tomorrow.

Day 82 - Post COVID-19 City-Wide Lockdown

Monday!

I’ve eaten plenty. I’ve slept more. I’ve gone potty a couple of times. And, I figured out how to shut myself into the bathroom again (Mommy can’t even leave me for an hour). 

Here’s to tomorrow and me not getting shut into a space I cannot get out of.

Day 81 - Post COVID-19 City-Wide Lockdown

Sunday. Mommy was up at 4 a.m. again and couldn’t go back to sleep. She went to the pool area about 8:15 a.m. to get a little sun. But that didn’t last long. A big storm started to roll through.

But there was a silver lining…a rainbow!

So that set the tone for the day. We decided to stay put. We’ve watched a documentary about David Geffen, the rise of the gossip rags in the 90’s, Cruella the movie and plenty of Hurricane Ida coverage.

Oh and look what Mommy found. Cotton Candy Grapes!

She had some for breakfast today.

Day 80 - Post COVID-19 Citywide Lockdown

 It’s Saturday! But Mommy did all the chores yesterday. She was hoping to sleep in given her lack of sleep taking care of me this week. But no dice. She was up at 4:30 a.m. and could go back to sleep.

I’m getting back to myself. I’ve had a little more to eat today. I’ve pooped a few times (still looking good) and I’ve been up and walking around more. Mommy felt pretty good about my recovery that she went to the grocery store and eventually kept her bi-weekly nail appointment.

Mommy says I might be well enough to go outside tomorrow. She’s been worried about introducing unnecessary bacteria to my bum.

Please put on your mask and if you are not vaccinated, please do so. Mommy’s Aunt contracted COVID-19 and given he appointments for her cancer treatments in a clinical setting and recent hospitalization, it is clear that even being in a medical setting is not safe. Please, do your part to help stop the spread, mutation and continued advancement of this terrible virus.

Day 78 - Post COVID-19 City-Wide Lockdown

Our family has suffered a great loss today. Mommy’s Aunt Colleen passed away today after a two year cancer battle. My heart breaks for Grandpa Mac who I know will miss her greatly.
