My New Day Care

I'm so excited. I got to go to Day Care this week (and spend the night). Mommy had to travel for business (the first time since we've moved here). I've been to this place to get my haircut, but they moved into a new facility. And this place is cool.

There is a big indoor and outdoor play space. There are lots of things to climb on and of course, there are lots of cool dogs here.

Oh, and one more thing. My new day care is right near the train tracks. I get to see - and hear - the train all day long. Now I know why Jack really likes trains.

The staff is super nice (they told Mommy I was a good boy and they really like me). Auntie Vicki would be so proud of me. But, all good things must come to an end and Mommy came to get me Wednesday night.

Of course I was so tired when I came home. Yes, this is exactly how Mommy found me the next morning (cuddling with Clancy).

I am so excited. I get to go back to Day Care this week!

Visitors

What a week. Mommy and I had a few visitors this week.

First up, Auntie Kristin. She came to town to see a concert (Natalie Merchant). She brought Mommy with her.

Kristin and Mommy said the concert was really, really good. Good thing, I was getting worried about them because they were out very late (for a school night that is).

The next day, Auntie Kristin stayed home with me while Mommy went to work.

Of course, Auntie Kristin went shopping. She found a few things in Mommy's closet that she liked. Good thing the store still had some of them when Kristin went to find them. But, Auntie Kristin wasn't super happy since she was soaking wet when she got home (the umbrella Mommy left her just didn't do the trick). So, we hung out more and took a nap together and waited for Mommy to come home.

When Mommy got home, they went shopping. And of course, they had to buy the same exact thing (they do that a lot).

Then, Saturday rolled around. Mommy and Kristin spent much of the day shopping again, but not for themselves. Auntie Kristin was helping out an old friend. She brought Mommy along. A couple of hours at IKEA later, they found all the items. But, they really weren't sure if they could get it all in the car.

A little tricky, but they managed to make it happen. But, that left little room for Mommy and Auntie Kristin in the car.

They did manage to get it all unpacked from the car in a parking lot at O'Hare (where they met Mommy's friend). Then, Mommy took the train back to town and Auntie Kristin went home to Uncle Eugene and Jackson Hareing. I liked having Kristin around and hope she comes back soon.

Mommy was home a few minutes when our next visitors arrived...Janet and Ian. That's right, they came to see Mommy (and me, of course) for dinner. How cool! Buddy didn't make the trip. He was playing with his friends at PetSmart.

Mommy, Janet and Ian went to dinner at the place they went last time (just right down the street). They had a really nice waiter - and he was excited to take his picture with Mommy (not sure why),  but Mommy was happy to accommodate.

They had a great dinner, but Janet and Ian had to get back to Buddy.

I hope they come back soon too!

But, I was tired from all of our visitors. I went right to sleep and had a hard time getting out of bed this morning. Mommy was OK with that because she said I needed to rest because I was going to have an adventure of my own today.

Stay tuned.
