What A Difference A Week Makes

Last weekend it was so beautiful. I spent a lot of time outside with Mommy and Daddy.

This week it turned rainy, and would you believe it, snowy. Yes, that's right, snow. I woke up yesterday morning to snow covering the front yard (and as I write this, it is lightly snowing). It just doesn't seem fair. Good thing that Daddy was gone most of the week. That meant that I got to stay inside and visit my friends at Doggy Day Camp. I had a blast (and I got to hang out with my main squeeze, Lacey).

I have been able to rest a ton this weekend. Good thing, I needed to catch-up on my sleep. But, I was a little excited yesterday when Mommy and Daddy came home with new furniture for their bedroom. Mommy says there is one more piece coming, but that it is currently on back order (what ever that means). I really like the new cushions at the end of the bed - they are soft and I can jump on them when I am trying to get away from Mommy and Daddy. Plus, they act as a great cushion when I want to get some rest.

But, I am not so thrilled with the other piece of furniture Mommy and Daddy brought home yesterday. It is now where Mommy keeps her undergarments and socks...much to my disappointment.

You see, I really like to play with Mommy's undergarments. It is actually one of the reasons I love to do laundry with her. I try and sneak them out of the washer and/or drier when Mommy isn't looking (I am not always successful). She also used to keep them in the closet...somewhere I could easily get at them. Now, I can't get to them at all. UGH. Now, I just have to hope Mommy forgets to take them out of the laundry basket before she lets me play with it.

Groomed

I don't have much time to talk today. I have been spending most of it outside with Mommy and Daddy. The weather is great and I got to go for a really long walk. Plus, Mommy and Daddy let me stay outside when they were working on the deck. That was pretty cool. I am going back outside soon...but I wanted to let you all know I got a haircut this weekend. I know Grandma McHugh will be so excited. She likes it when she can see my big brown eyes! And, I think I look fantastic.

New Digs for the Ladies Man

Let's start out with the new digs. Mommy and Daddy came home today with something new...a new travel carrier. My plastic one wasn't cutting it anymore (it fell apart for the second time). Mommy insisted that Daddy buy me something sturdy, fashionable and no plastic. I think my new carrier fits the bill. I know that Mommy would have preferred a Coach or Louis Vuitton one, but she thinks this is a good compromise. And, I must say, it is my color.

Pretty cool, huh? Plus, Mommy and Daddy think there is enough room for one of my new lady friends. Yes, that's right, lady friends. I went back to Puppy Day Camp this week and I was a huge hit with the ladies. It couldn't have been the smell of Daddy's cologne (he was traveling and Mommy smells like a girl). It really must have been my charming personality. Anyways, Lacey and I played a lot this week and I met a few others as well...CoCo, Sophie and Maudie. Mommy and Daddy saw me playing with Maudie when they came to pick me up on Friday. I am a little embarrassed that these ladies keep showing-up on my "pawgress" report, but what can I say...I love the ladies. Now, I have a carrier large enough for two - maybe one of them will want to take a trip with me :-).

But, all of that flirting and playing really takes it out of me. Good thing I was tired this week. Mommy had to drive me home in bad weather a couple of days (I was really scared and could tell Mommy was too). I was pooped out.

I did manage to catch-up on my sleep this weekend long enough to play with my friends at home (and chew on Daddy's slippers).

Oh - I must share with you my favorite new pictures. Daddy loves to hold me (and I love it when he holds me). Sometimes, he does such a great job relaxing me that I fall asleep (in this case, we were watching The Girls Next Door. Now, there is a real Ladies Man...my true idol).

Poop

Mommy says it isn't so "PC" to talk about poop, but I find the need to after Daddy had to pick up dog poop in our yard yesterday. You see, it wasn't mine. I knew that because I rarely go poop outside (unless Mommy and Daddy take me for a walk) and the poop was huge. I have small poop because I am a small dog. Daddy had to get the shovel out to scoop the poop up. I just think it is rude when others don't clean up after themselves (the doggy who pooped in our yard didn't have a Mommy or Daddy who cared to clean it up). UGH - it just makes me so mad.

But, back to more exciting things. This week started out with a huge snow storm. We got several inches of snow, but it didn't last long. That is because the last couple of days have been in the 60s. That has been great for me because Mommy and Daddy have taken me on walks. I love to go on walks.

Daddy also had to take me to the Vet this week. I had to get the vaccination I absolutely hate...the one where they put it in your nose. This time, Daddy came back with me and tried to hold me. I put up a good fight before I finally surrendered. I figured I should just get it over with. But, Daddy says I needed to get it done so I could continue to play with my friends at Puppy Day Camp. And, I wasn't going to argue with that. I hear that I will be going back this week...I have enjoyed spending the days with Daddy, but I want to play with my friends.

Oh - one special shout-out...Happy Birthday, Grandpa.
