Today is the ultimate reminder that freedom does not come free. Many have made the ultimate sacrifice to ensure we remain free. Take a moment to remember those who have died to protect this land we all love.
And still Mommy makes a statement on a day like today.
A year ago tonight, we arched our city being destroyed. The impact of the death of George Floyd has been immeasurable, but can we say a year later that it has been enough? We say no.
The statements.
It’s a Saturday of a long weekend and Mommy did not clean the house today. On long weekend, she waits until the last day of the holiday to clean. Don’t ask, it’s just her thing,
She did clean more things out to get prepared for our upcoming move. Again, Mommy has this vision that the movers will just “lift-and-shift” our stuff to the new place. I really hope Mommy’s plan holds.
I should share with you that Mommy is contemplating putting the “statement of the day” on hold until after we move. All the statements are packed up and while she packed them strategically so she could still make a statement e dry day, she thought taking a break. Plight be nice for everyone involved. Having said that, people are so used to a mommy making a statement each day that it may not last long when people give her feedback that she needs to make one.
Mommy technically had the day off. But, I made it difficult for her. I got up at 4 a.m and proceeded to harass her until she fed me. So, she decided to treat it like a normal workday. We had all the same routines and Mommy did answer her email this morning (and a few more times throughout the day). But, she had already been planning to use this solve the mystery of the “desk order” she must place. You see, we have a built-in desk today and Mommy will not be able to take it with her to our new place. So, she needs to order a desk. She knows what she wants, but she wants it to arrive on a certain day. The noise order system doesn’t let you choose a delivery date. So, she went to the store today to ask and sure enough, she cannot schedule a delivery date. It will just come 3-5/days after the order. So now, Mommy must time it just right so it arrives just as we are moving.
Also, Mommy finished packing all the statements.lord, she has a lot. Even Mommy said she dint need any modern.
