I'm Like New

I got my hair cut today.

Before

Mommy was worried I would be mad. A lot of poking g and prodding of me these last couple of weeks. But, my groomer took really good car of me and made sure to stay away from my mouth as much as she could.

After

I feel great. It's like I'm a new Cosmo!

It's Saturday Morning

Another Saturday. Mom has found me in my comfortable sleeping position.

And, I've found a way to give Mommy lots of kisses.

Let's Go Racing Boys

The Daytona 500. Need I say more?

Pre-race was a bit dull.

So excited to see Junior leading the race.

Disappointed Junior crashed, but it was an exciting finish. Congratulations Mr. Hamlin.

Morning Routine

This has become part of my morning routine. I do just about anything to keep this away from my mouth. I know it's supposed to help me heal, but I truly dislike this stuff.

Second Day, Post Op

Day 2 after surgery and feeling more like myself.

I've had real food today (and chicken for a treat). And while I'm still trying to dodge Mommy giving me medicine, I realize it is important for me to have.

The Day After

I'm in recovery mode. My surgery yesterday definately knocked me out (literally and figuratively).

Mommy stayed home with me to help me recover. But she also has to give me medicine and I have not helped her in that department. I don't mind the eye ointment, but I don't like the antibiotic or pain medicine. Mostly because it requires Mommy touch my mouth. And it's too sore right now.

Mommy made me lunch in order to get me to eat. Chicken!

And before her last conference call of the day, Mommy spent time cuddling with me.

Tonight is most definitely going better than last night (with the exception of more medicine).

And I'll share a secret with all of you...I'm actually doing pretty good, but I am just using this situation to the best of my advantage.

Rough Day

My day started the same as always; Mommy up early, showered, dressed and getting stuff together to go to work. But she stayed a bit longer and took some pictures with me. Not exactly odd, but not part of the daily routine (morning pictures rarely include Mommy).

And then, the leash came out. I was excited, of course. But Mommy brought along her work stuff and the car keys. So I thought maybe I was going to daycare. But, no go.

I was headed to the Vet. Yep, I was going to have surgery and I didn't know. Mommy made an appointment to have my teeth cleaned. And, to have a small tumor removed from my eyelid.

Dr. Silverman successfully removed my eye tumor and also extracted 14 teeth from my mouth. He told Mommy I won't really miss the teeth. I think I might.

I'm still pretty out of it.

Dr. Silverman told Mommy I'd be back to my old self tomorrow. In the meantime, I'm going to use this situation to the best of my advantage.

Thank you Dr. Silverman for taking great care of me.

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day from me and my favorite Valentine (aka Mommy).

It's snowing in Chicago today. Mommy went to run some errands, but returned wet and icy.

Now, she's cuddling with me. Just the way I like it.

Saturday Morning Stroll

I love to be outside, so when Mommy says to me "are you ready to go outside?", I get very excited.

First, I run to the front door and wait for Mommy to put my collar on.

I then fly out the door and wait in the hallway while Mommy locks the door. I usually whine because I think it will make Mommy move faster.

Once the door is locked, I make a run for it - the the elevator. I usually bark all the way there because I want my neighbor dogs to know I'm going out in case they want to come out and play too.

Once on the elevator I sniff all around and then wait patiently for the doors to open.

Once outside, I must smell every pole, hydrant, planter box. It drives Mommy a bit crazy.

We walk a lot. Mommy enjoys getting out too. Most people who see us stop and say to Mommy that it appears I'm walking her versus she walking me. I am pretty excited to be out. But Mommy is OK with me walking her. She has just as much fun as I do.

Mommy gives me a treat when I get home. But the best part is getting to cuddle with Mommy!
