Lazy Saturday

I didn't feel like doing much today, so I just napped while Mommy ran errands and got her nails done.

You Know You're In Minnesota When...

...it doesn't get above 0 for the daytime temperature. And as a result, I have to wear my coat whenever I go outside.

I must admit I was a bit cold. But, all was right with the world when I got to day camp and got to cuddle with my Auntie Vicky.

Karla's Birthday

Jack's Mommy's birthday was this past week. Jack was sad because his Mommy was in Florida on a business trip (she spend her birthday with her work colleagues every year)and he couldn't spend the day with her. His Daddy, Tim, has a dessert sent to her room from Jack (how cute) and Mommy called to wish her a happy birthday.

And, they got to go out last night for her birthday (sans Jack, but Mommy did get to see him yesterday). They went to a new restaurant in town (Union) and got to eat on the rooftop deck. It has a retractable roof so it is almost like eating outside in the middle of the winter. Good thing, the temperature dropped quickly yesterday and it was bitterly cold.

Anyway, they had a great time. Happy Birthday, Jack's Mommy!

Millie

I got to meet a new puppy this week. Mommy ran into someone she used to work with, Nora, when she was picking me up from Day Camp this week. Nora apparently follows my blog - and you know what - she was super nice. So, she wanted me to meet her puppy Millie. Now, Millie is a wee bit younger than me so she is really in that puppy phase. And, she is bigger than me. So of course, I have to "growl" a bit just so she knows I am Cosmo. She was pretty cool with me and I liked her a lot. I hear she might be coming to Day Camp on Monday. I wonder if I will get to play with her?

Long Week

Mommy had to work a lot this week. She was on the phone early in the morning (or in the office) and late at night. So, I didn't get to see my friends as often as I would have liked. But, Mommy was able to work around her schedule so I could go a few times. That's why I love my Mommy so...she will do anything to make me happy.

And I will do anything to make Mommy happy. She says that after a long, and sometimes stressful day, she like to come home to my smiling face.

McDonald's French Fries

I have a love for McDonald's French Fries. Maybe a small obsession. So, Mommy took me to McDonald's this week.Yummy!

My Best Friend

Clancy is my best friend. He has been with me since the first day I came to my new home. We pretty much go everywhere together. And of course, we nap together too.

TGIF

After a long week at work, Mommy came home tonight to play with me. I decided to put on a show...you know the one where I run around in circles, stop and lay at Mommy's feet? She moves and then I start it all again. Well, this time she snapped a picture of me before I could take off.

Then she caught me in mid-run.

I was so mad! All I wanted to do was run.

But I couldn't stay mad at Mommy for long. I'm just glad she is home to spend the night with me (that's right, I get her all to myself)!

Right Where I Should Be

Cuddling with Mommy this morning...exactly where I should be. It is indeed a good morning.

Not Meant To Be

A Vikings win over the Packers for a second week in a row was just not in the cards for us. In fact, it looked so bad in the first half, I spent much of the second sleeping on the end of the couch (with one eye open just in case). There is always next year.

Jack!

Mommy spent time with Jack yesterday! Karla, Tim and Jack had been out of town for a long time and Mommy missed them. So, Karla told Mommy she could stop by on the way home from work.

Mommy got to catch-up with Karla, but she also got to play with Jack. They played with his new Play-Doh set, trains and fire truck (a Jack favorite). Jack then told Mommy that she needed to go home and take care of me (how sweet).

Mommy's Home

Mommy spent time with Aunt Kristin (see my earlier post) and she came to get me on Wednesday. Good thing because when Mommy got home all of the smoke detectors in the house were going off. Mommy - who has a fear of fire - was freaked out (to say the least). She wasn't quite sure what to do, so she called our neighbors Karen and Chad. And then, she called 911. Yes, she actually called 911.

Chad came over as the police pulled up and the fire trucks (Mommy said there were two)arrived. They went into the house and looked for anything that could be fire. What they discovered was that the battery in one of the smoke detectors had drained while Mommy was out of town and that caused the others to go off. Mommy was embarrassed, but they told her it was better for her to be safe than sorry. I am just sorry I missed it.

But, I was so happy to see Mommy and extremely tired (after playing with all of my friends). I climbed into Mommy's lap for the ride home and fell asleep.

Then I went to bed when I got home and slept the whole night. This is how Mommy found me when she woke up.

And this is the way she found me this morning (I am still recovering).

It is so nice to have Mommy home. It is even better to be sleeping in my own bed!

Happy New Year

Happy New Year! I am looking forward to 2013 being the best year yet!

Mommy spent time with Aunt Kristin, Uncle Eugene and Jackson Harering over the New Year holiday. Again, I was jealous, but got to spend time with my friends and Auntie Vicki. We had our own party!

Everyone got to talk to Grandma and Grandpa via Skype (I thought they only did that with me). Jackson was a bit confused by the whole thing...partially because he was hanging out on Aunt Kristin and Uncle Eugene's kitchen table.

Mommy and Aunt Kristin had a great time with each other. They dressed alike and even wore those crazy things on their head they tried on when Aunt Kristin was here at Thanksgiving.

Mommy had a great time and Aunt Kristin and Uncle Eugene's New Year's party! I'm glad she did...Mommy had a rough 2012 and I want her to have the best year ever in 2013. Good thing I am here to help make that happen.
