Today is Memorial Day. It is a time to reflect on the sacrifices many have made in order to keep us free. I think Grandpa said it best:
"Friends, to my Father and each of my Uncles... Thanks. Each of these gentle men served the country during WWII and Lynda and I, along with our children enjoy all we have and cherish because of the efforts of these gentle men and millions like them. God Bless Them. In addition, thanks to a very special lady, my aunt Sheila, a Navy Nurse during WWII, without her and the thousands of gentle ladies like her, many of use would not be here because they nursed our fathers back to health."
This day is also special because it means that Mommy and Daddy get to spend one more day with me - more than a normal weekend. I really liked that!
My weekend started with Mommy picking me up from Day Camp on Friday.
I spent much of the day on Saturday at home with Mommy. She had to go into work for a little bit because she is working on a very special project. But, she didn't have to stay long. But she did come back home and spent the rest of the day working. That was OK by me because I got to catch up on my sleep.
Mommy and Daddy spent Sunday working in the yard. After they got done, Mommy spent time on the deck reading her magazines (a favorite summer activity for her).
I wasn't so happy about it...and I kept a very close eye on her.
At one point, I started scratching on the window so that she would come in and take me outside with her. It worked. But, I soon realized why she hadn't brought me outside. It was hot - and humid! I was very uncomfortable and the sun beating down on my pink skin made it worse. So, I was very happy that Mommy brought me back into the house.
She decided to join me and we watched the last 50 laps of the Indy 500. Mommy really likes racing! She seemed happy too with the winner of the race. FYI...we watched more racing last night. Daddy's favorite driver, Kasey Kahne, won!
And now today. Mommy and Daddy spent the afternoon at a BBQ at Bernadette's. Bernadette's friends are in from Australia (for her Birthday next week). Mommy and Daddy enjoyed themselves. But, Mommy is paying the price for sitting out in the sun with no sunscreen. She is very red!
Until next week...

A Week in Review
Last week was perfect. It is finally that time of year again...where Mommy and Daddy spend time outside doing yard work (I love it). I keep a close eye on Daddy when he mows the lawn.
I get to watch my favorite shows of the moment (The Killing and Mad Men).
And I get to spend a ton of time with my Mommy and Daddy! It's just the way I like it.

Happy Belated Birthday!
Jack's Dad, Tim, celebrated a milestone birthday last week. Mommy and Daddy were able to catch-up with Tim and Karla for a drink on Saturday while they were out celebrating his birthday.
I'm Old Enough to Drive...Right?
That's what I was trying to tell Mommy last week when she picked me up from Day Camp. As usual, Mommy put me in my seat, took off my collar and then headed to the driver's seat to take us home. But, I wasn't haven't any of that. I wanted to drive home. I'm old enough.
But, Mommy wasn't having any of it. She told me that I was too small and wouldn't be able to navigate well because I couldn't see over the steering wheel. I hate that she is always right!

Happy Mother's Day
In honor of Mother's Day, I thought I would share with you some of Mommy's favorite pictures of Grandma!
In the Arms of...
Mommy! Well, at least yesterday I was.
But, I got caught again by the ladies who take care of me at Day Camp. Here's what they wrote on my Wednesday report card:
"Mr. Cosmo was very happy to see his other woman. He cuddled with her and even gave her a kiss! That's really something considering how stingy his is with kisses :-)!

Caught in the arms of another woman!
Yes, I got caught in the arms of another woman today. Her name is Courtney. In my defense, today was Courtney's first day at Day Camp. I wanted to welcome her and make her feel comfortable. Plus, I need to make sure I have all my bases covered if my other women are on vacation@ Of course, I turned on the Cosmo charm. But, Auntie Vicki and Sarah were not impressed. Here's what they shared with Mommy on my report card:
"Cosmo had a pretty interesting day. Auntie Vicki and his "other woman" were appalled to find out that he was sleeping in the arms of another woman today. The guilty look on his face said it all! Needless to say, his new mistress was reprimanded for trying to weasel her way into his heart!"
Oops!
Anyway, here are some cute picture of me Mommy took of me this week!
