No Midnight Ride of Paul Revere

Mommy was is Boston this week on business.

She and the team had been planning this work event for nine months.

Now I can't tell you what the event was, but all I know is that VIPs from around the country came to the event to talk about the current - and future - state of healthcare.

During the evening, there were events too. The first was at Adolphus Busch Hall on the Harvard campus. Mommy said the inside reminded her of a Catholic church.

The second was at the JFK Presidential Library. They had a police escort to the venue. How cool is that?

They had the whole museum to themselves. Mommy said it was a cool experience and she even learned a few things.

This is ine of the statements Jackie made back in the day (Mommy was surprised to learn it was a fake).

And who doesn't love a Jackie dress (Mommy said this was designed by Oleg Cassini).

This is a piece of the Berlin Wall.

And look at that flag!

As Mommy would say, all good things must come to an end. So, she came home last night, but her flight got delayed due to weather. So she couldn't get me until today.

I made sure to make Mommy feel guilty for leaving me all week (but what she doesn't know is I had a great time with my friends and kept super busy while she was gone).

Rise Up

If you know me, you know I like to prop myself up so I can get a good view of everything. Mommy found me perched on my PEEP the other morning.

I quickly changed positions when Mommy was in the shower to my other favorite position...the hideout.

Let's Get Going

I had to get Mommy to stop taking selfies so we could go on our walk.

The Return of the Refrigerator Monster

The refrigerator monster is back and making a lot of noise today. That has me very unsettled and looking for places that the refrigerator monster can't see me.

First I tried the bathroom.

Then I tried the closet. Between the step stool and all of Mommy's statement necklaces, I figured I'd be protected.

Then I tried my own bed (that has a sightline to Mommy on the couch).

And now I'm holding onto Mommy for dear life. You probably can't tell, but my paw is wrapped around Mommy's arm. I figure I'm safer that way.

Auntie Vicki Was Here

Auntie Vicki came to spend the day with me this week. How cool was that?

Monday Stroll

I went for a stroll this morning by the river. It didn't seen as hit this morning as yesterday. That was a good thing.

Of course Mommy had to try and take a few photos of us (she never misses an opportunity).

I was perfectly content before we went for a walk.

And this is how I plan to spend the rest of the day.

Fluffed and Buffed

I got a haircut yesterday. I couldn't really see, as my hair was covering my eyes. Mommy knows when Grandma says she can't see my bug, beautiful eyes that it is time to get to the groomer.

So, of course, Mommy had to take new photos of us. I can detect a selfie from a mile away, so do just about amything to avoid it.

I've spent much of the day today inside. It's very hot here in Chicago. And my walk just sucked thr life out of me. So I'm just enjoying the air conditioning.
