Buddy and Jack
Jack hung out with Mommy last night while Tim and Karla played a round pf golf with their league team. My friend Buddy came by to visit Jack. Jack really liked Buddy and Buddy liked Jack. In fact, I was really proud of Jack that he wasn't afraid. He used to be afraid of me, but no more.
Reunited - If Only For A Short Time
I got to hang out with Mommy for a few minutes yesterday! She and Aunt Stacia were in Madison this past weekend attending their school reunion.
A quick side note...Stacia drove Mommy by Grandma and Grandpa's old house. Not much has changed (and I even remember going there for holidays and getting to hang out with my family).
Aunt Stacia drove Mommy all the way back here (and then Tim, Karla and Jack took Mommy the rest of the way to Minneapolis). It was so great to see her. I miss her so much - and she misses me too. But, we will be together shortly. Mommy did find us a new place to live (sounds like a super cool place).

Hanging With My Friend
I've been at Aunt Stacia's and Uncle David's for a few weeks now. And, that means I've been hanging out with Sydney, Murphy and Chloe.
Me and Chloe like to "relax" together.
I realize Chloe doesn't look so happy, but she is. And look at me; happy as a clam (not really sure where that expression comes from, but Mommy uses it often).

Week 1 - Aunt Stacia and Uncle David's House
I'm staying with Aunt Stacia and Uncle David (and let's not forget Sydney) while Mommy is in Chicago working.
Mommy was delayed getting into Chicago last week. She told Aunt Stacia they had to go around a really big storm. Mommy said it looked really cool from the airplane. She even took some cool pictures.
Mommy checks in on me every day. Aunt Stacia tells me that Mommy misses me terribly. I miss Mommy too, but I tell Aunt Stacia to let her know I'm having a ball. I get to sleep in bed with Aunt Stacia (just like at home).
I get to play with all new toys.
I get to watch the Tour de France and World Cup with Uncle David.
I get to play with play with Sydney when she gets home from Dance. She wears me out.
And, I get lots of treats.
So, I'm doing alright. Mommy is too. Work is great. And, she tries to take a few minutes each day to explore more of the city. She looked for new places for us to live this week, but didn't find the right one just yet.
I think she is really enjoying Chicago.

Chicago
Mommy was in Chicago this week to start her new job (I'm super proud of her). Yes, that means I what you think it means, but more on that later.
Mommy dropped me off at Day Camp so I could play with all of my friends. She was sad, but I was cool. She knows how much I love to play with my friends.
Except for the days that she is at the office north of the city. In that case, she gets to take the train there (A first for Mommy).
Mommy said she walked everywhere. She explored the neighborhood (she is near many of the government buildings and the theatre district) a bit so she could find places to eat for dinner, groceries (although she hasn't found a real grocery store yet) and Garrett's popcorn (Mommy's favorite).
But, the best part of my week was Friday morning when Mommy came and picked me up from Day Camp. I wasn't sure if she would be back in MSP this week, so I was surprised (and very, very happy).
We got to hang out all day on July 4 and yesterday. We even got to go on a car ride (I love riding in the car) to see Aunt Stacia, Uncle David and Sydney.
What I didn't know was that Mommy was taking me to Aunt Stacia's house so I could stay with them (and Murphy and Chloe) for awhile (I will miss Auntie Vicki terribly).
But, I'm having a blast with Aunt Stacia. I get to play with Sydney, Murphy and Chloe. I get to run around outside in the yard and smell everything. And, I even get to sleep in bed with Aunt Stacia (not bad). I know Mommy misses me terribly - and I miss her - but I'm going to be just fine.

We celebrated the 4th of July holiday this week. Good thing Mommy was home to keep up the tradition she, Karla and Tim have every year (celebrating together).
Me, I stayed home and slept through all the festivities. I was soooo tired from playing with my friends this week that I needed to rest.

Happy Birthday to Me
This week I celebrated my birthday. I'm now seven years old.
Mommy was not able to celebrate with me on my actual birthday (more about that later), but Auntie Vicki made sure that I had an awesome day. I had a big party with all my friends and I even got to have ice cream.
