Mommy and Me

I had a hard time letting Mommy leave this morning. I guess i just miss hanging out with her sometimes.

Mommy thought it would be best if I went back to bed. And this is the final look I gave her this morning.

Mommy Can't Get Enough

Mommy was back in Florida on business this week. And we all know what that means...I get to play with my friends.

But really, I look forward to the car ride to daycare. Why? I like seeing all the people (and the dogs).

While I was playing with my friends, Mommy was hard at work. She was able to have dinner out (and always by the water in FL).

There's Mommy. She always takes pictures of the statements she is making that day (because she always wears a statement necklace).

Amazingly enough, Mommy's plane arrived early enough yesterday that she could get me home (usually her flught arrives too later to get me on Friday night).

And the first thing I wanted to do was go to bed.

And I pretty much have been sleeping evee since.

Family Selfie

I make it hard for Mommy to get a good picture of the two of us. You see, I always know when Mommy holds her phone a certain way she wants a picture.

So Mommy had to resort to "look at me." She got me this time.

Camouflage

I love sheet washing day. That's because I blend in. It's hard for Mommy - or anyone - can find me.

If Mommy didn't put a green pillow case down before she put me in bed, she wouldn't know where I was.

Sunday Stroll

I went for my walk yesterday. But it really isn't walking. It's more like impatiently waiting for the elevator and then running as fast as I can to get outside and then taking Mom for a walk (I walk her, she definitely doesn't walk me).

Mom prefers it when she is in control (but let's be honest here...she is never in control when it comes to me).

Guilt Trip

I'm starting early. You see, Mommy took a few days off of work and now she has to go back tomorrow. I've enjoyed her being home and spending more time with me.

America's Birthday

Today is July 4. The day the United States celebrates its independence. Today is not all about pool parties and BBQs. It's a day to remember those who fought hard for our freedom.

But of course, we celebrated with pool parties and BBQs.

But first I got to go for a walk. It was so hot out that I couldn't stop breathing so hard.

Mommy left for the day. She went to the pool at the Soho House with a friend. Clearly I wasn't impressed.

When Mommy got home, she prepped for her BBQ with the Framily. Mommy said I should stay at home since it was so hot out.

So I was surprised when I learned Talulah was there. She has a harder time with the heat than I do.

But Mommy had a great time. There were fireworks all.around Rachel's house. All agreed they were better than the ones at Navy Pier.

Of course when Mommy got.home, she insisted on photos in our July 4 headgear. Yep, I wasn't impressed.

Happy Birthday to Me

Today is my birthday. What does that mean? It means I'm now 11 years old. It also means, my annual photo shoot in my birthday hat and my favorite treats (cheese and tater tots).

It also means I get to do whatever I want. So, I decided to stay in bed a little longer and cuddle with Clancy and my Peeps.
