The Chicago Marathon day has always been one of my very favorite in the City. It's simply amazing how many people come out to cheer on total strangers who are putting their bodies to the test. This year seemed different. Why? If you believe what some are saying, you'd think Chicago is a war zone, simply too dangerous to go outside. I can assure you that is not the case. It's hard not to see how great Chicago really is on a day like this. Runners, their families, and their friends come from all over the world to run and support, and lift up not only themselves, but this community. And then, people like me who live in this City and along the course, come out to experience the community and support each and every marathoner.
