Day 106 - Post COVID-19 City-Wide Lockdown

Mommy went to the office today, so that meant she left me all alone. Mommy “Cosmo-proofed” the house before she left. That meant she tried to make sure I couldn’t get into spaces I couldn’t get out of (which has happened in the new place). Leave it to me to find the one place she didn’t think would trip me up. She now has added one more item to her “Cosmo-proof” list.

Note that my pumpkin face has returned.

Day 105 - Post COVID-19 City-Wide Lockdown

Mommy was on the struggle bus today. The weather dramatically changed overnight. That extreme shift usually leads to a migraine for Mommy. She tried to get ahead of it by taking some medicine last night. But, that didn’t work.

So she struggled to get through the work day. She even took 20 minutes for lunch to lay down in a dark quiet place. 

Once her last call wrapped up at 5, she immediately went to bed to lay down. I, her faithful companion and nurse, was right by her side to take care of her.

She got a little rest and she is helping me with this post now. But, I suspect she’ll go to sleep soon and hopefully wake up with no headache.

Day 104 - Post COVID-19 City-Wide Lockdown

What a day. Mommy was convinced I needed a deep clean and a haircut. I agree, but was not looking forward to being "touched" so much again. Not after my recent "butt" drama.

As always, Gina takes such great care of me. She does a great job and she did help - at least for a few short hours - remove my pumpkin face.

Gina also told Mommy that unlike last time, I stayed awake the entire time. She said it was like old times (last time I laid right down and went to sleep while being groomed). This is the not so fun part of the day, Gina did check on my "butt" to make sure all was good. She was able to "express" a little out of my glands, which she told Mommy the "output" was exactly what it should be and to not be concerned that there was something in my glands (that is normal). I wasn't so bothered when she touched my bum either. So, all in all, it was a good day.

Mommy is happy because I look good and smell good. I'm now fed and have gone back to bed (since I was up for the entire appointment). I'm getting a little beauty sleep.

Finally, Mommy did make a statement today (shocking, I know).

But wait, I got to make a statement too!

Day 103 - Post COVID-19 City-Wide Lockdown

Monday. The start of another week.

There is not much to report from today. It rained (which we needed). The other thing I noticed today was how it is getting dark earlier now. Mommy and I went out for our walk just after 7 p.m. and it was almost as dark as night. I guess Summer is coming to and end and Fall is beginning.

A new thing Mommy heard about her statement today. A co-worker said she’s now matching the color of her clothing to the Christmas tree in the office.Mommy told her co-worker that she does not match her clothing to the tree, but she absolutely pairs a statement with her clothing (jewelry, hair accessory, shoes, etc). I think it’s great that people notice the statements she makes!
