You all know it was Mommy's birthday yesterday. Her friends treated her to a very special day.
But first it started with a call from Grandma and Grandpa. Grandpa calls every year to sing Happy Birthday to mommy. It is the one thing Mommy looks forward to on her birthday each year.
BTW...Grandma picked out a great gift for Mommy (and Mommy loves it).
Mommy was going to go out sailing with Kathryn, but the weather didn't cooperate. But, Kathryn and a friend of hers quickly made other plans including lunch at Ema and manicures at Nailtastic. Mommy said she couldn't believe it when Ema paid for a bottle of wine for just because it was her birthday. Kathryn, Bobbi and Katya were definitely surprised too.
Linda joined the girls at Nailtastic. She didn't get her nails done, but she brought champagne to get the party started.
With all nails in tip top condition, Mommy and the girls headed out to Dylan's Candy Bar. All Mommy wanted to do on her birthday was have a cotton candy cocktail at Dylan's. Mommy's friend Rachel invited all of Mommy's friends to come out for a birthday drink. It wasn't exactly what everyone wanted to do, but they did it for Mommy.
The best part, everyone got a side of cotton candy with their drinks. Sugar overload!
After a cupcake and a wish, Mommy and the girls headed out to dinner at Bridgehouse (right on the river).
The weather wasn't all that great so the crew sat inside (right along the windows). The whole staff there was great to Mommy and all her friends. And were accommodating when even more people joined the celebration.
Mommy had such a great time. And there was even more when she got home. Meg sent her flowers (they are very pretty).
Mommy had the best time and is so thankful to have such a great group of friends in Chicago. And I'm so happy too. Her friends are super cool and I'm glad they made Mommy's day so special.
