Mommy Goes to Washington

Mommy went to DC this week for work. This is me begging her not to go.

I was still a little skittish from the surgery that I just wanted Mommy. But of course, with Mommy being gone it meant that I got to spend time with all my friends.

Mommy got to Washington and she said it was windy, more than here in Chicago. But, she made it ahead of her meeting and had time to walk the Washington Mall before sunset.

You can barely see the Washington Monument in the pictures, but she also had a great view of it from her hotel room.

Mommy spent most of her time in DC in meetings, but she did have the opportunity to go to the Hill and meet with the staff of a few Senators to talk about her company's technologies that have an impact on energy costs and environment. Pretty cool.

But, I think it was pretty cool that she got to see where the Senators do all their TV interviews.

I enjoyed my time with my friends while Mommy was away. I made a few new friends, which I like.

But I was excited to get home so I could sleep in my own bed.

The Vet, Part 2

I had to go back to the Vet tonight for a check up. Dr. Silverman wanted to make sure my mouth and my eye was healing as expected. Needless to say, I was nervous. I didn't sit well for the tech.

I paced the floor and tried to get out the two doors in the room.

At one point, Mommy had to hold me because I was so nervous.

But I eventually heard Dr. Silverman's voice from behind the door and was so excited to see him. He even asked Mommy if that was how I greeted her each time she came home. And of course the answer was yes!

He said I was healing nicely and then he gave me a flu shot. And then my favorite part, all the ladies in the office stopped by to say hi to me. Yep, I'm still a ladies man. And, I've still got it!

I'm Like New

I got my hair cut today.

Before

Mommy was worried I would be mad. A lot of poking g and prodding of me these last couple of weeks. But, my groomer took really good car of me and made sure to stay away from my mouth as much as she could.

After

I feel great. It's like I'm a new Cosmo!

It's Saturday Morning

Another Saturday. Mom has found me in my comfortable sleeping position.

And, I've found a way to give Mommy lots of kisses.

The Daytona 500. Need I say more?

Pre-race was a bit dull.

So excited to see Junior leading the race.

Disappointed Junior crashed, but it was an exciting finish. Congratulations Mr. Hamlin.
