Let's Go Racing!
The words Mommy has been waiting to hear since November.
Yes, the NASCAR season officially got underway last night with the Budweiser Shootout! Mommy was so excited. And, I must admit, so was I. I like watching all of the cars go around. I especially like when they crash.
I was exhausted by the end of the race. And, I must say, I am still a little tired this morning.

I am still a little bummed by the game last week. The Cardinal's didn't win. Although, they had a great shot there at the end. Oh well, life will go on.
Hopefully, Dale Jr. will have a better season this year. It will make up for the Cardinal's loss.

Halftime
I was hopeful at the start of the game. But...

The game is not going so well for my Cardinals. But, they can come back, and I have faith.

I just finished watching the halftime show. I was excited. Bruce Springsteen is a favorite of Daddy's. So, I was dancing in the dark (not really, but it is a popular Springsteen song).

Go Cardinals!
P.S. The commercials have not been good this year. It seems like every commercial is for the same car. There have been a few beer commercials that have made me chuckle. Oh, and there was one about pets (Pedigree). It was OK...

Super Bowl Sunday
It has arrived. I really like football, but I am not so sure I love the 12 hours of pre-game. I am also very excited to see all of the commercials. Hopefully one will have a dog in it. Anyways, I am going to take the underdog, the Arizona Cardinals, in an upset. Get it, underdog?
Anyways, Mommy is now home from her trip. In fact, Daddy took me with him to the airport to pick-up Mommy. Her flight landed early, but apparently, her luggage kept circling the tarmac. I kept asking Daddy why we were driving in circles and he said it was because the airline couldn't locate the bags. Finally, they did. And, much to my surprise, Mommy had some friends with her. Axel and Tim needed a ride home. I was excited because I got to meet new people. And, they were really nice.
Plus, I got to talk with Tim about the weekend in Chicago. I thought he could tell me all about their exciting adventures. And, he did.
He said that he, Mommy and J-Jo (Jill) had some time on Saturday afternoon, after they completed their work, to see a little of Chicago. Mommy loves Chicago. J-Jo had never been there before so he said they decided to take her shopping down Michigan Avenue (Miracle Mile). J-Jo had a blast - and so did Mommy and Tim.

Tim said it was really cold, but he didn't mind. He said everyone got great deals. And, he talked about going to one of Mommy's favorite places in Chicago...Garret's popcorn. He said they waited in line for 25 minutes, but he said it was well worth the wait. He said the Cheese Popcorn is the best!
When they got back to the hotel, they headed to the restaurant for dinner and Tim said that he got to meet George Barris as well. Remember, he is that famous car guy. Since Mommy had the camera, she was able to have a picture taken of all of them. Pretty cool, huh?

Tim said the rest of the time they had to work. And, by the end of the week, they were ready to come home.
Honestly, I love hanging out with Daddy, but I like it best when Mommy and Daddy are both here with me.

Monkey

I know, this doesn't look like a Monkey to me either, but Daddy swears it is.
Mommy is in Chicago on business through part of next week. And, of course, Mommy would spot someone famous. This gentleman was sitting at a table across from Mommy and her co-workers. Jill, pictured above, was ecstatic to meet him. But, who do you ask? Well, Daddy says this is Mickey Dolenz for the group The Monkeys. Apparently, this was a very popular group in the 1970's. Daddy said he used to watch their TV show all of the time.
Also, Mommy met George Barris tonight. He was also sitting a table close by and said hello to Mommy's friend. He is a very famous car man. He made the first "Batmobile" as well as many other famous cars.
Pretty cool, hey?

Hear All About It...

I feel the title to my blog this week is very fitting. There were so many things going on this week, it was hard to keep up.
Weather
If any of you live in the Midwest, then you know what I am talking about. Wow, was it cold. And, I can say, I didn't like it so much. Mommy looked like Ralphie's brother from A Christmas Story when she left the house in the morning. Even Daddy put on his coat and hat to put me in the car to go to day camp. You know it must have been cold if Daddy was doing that!
Maddy
I must send a shout-out to my niece Maddy. She had her appendix taken out this week. I am happy to hear that she is on the mend.
Mommy
I have been dying to tell everyone that Mommy has accepted a new position at her work. She was promoted. She will be working in another business of her company. I am so very proud of her. So, if you see her, tell her congratulations!
Grandma
This was the best news of the week. Grandma got the results of her scan back and they said that they didn't see any cancer! How great is that. I know Mommy is very relieved (Grandpa and Aunt Kristin too). But, most of all, this means that Grandma doesn't have to go back for Chemo (at least for now). I know that is what Grandma wanted to hear! I think all of my prayers must have paid off! Way to go, Grandma!
And, all of this has made me extremely tired. Have a great week.

Happy 2009!
I realize this is a day late, but I needed to recover from all of the excitement of New Year's Eve.

I wish I could say it was from all of the parties I attended, but it wasn't. I spent New Year's Eve being chased by a big blue bouncy ball.
And then, my Mommy and Daddy left for the evening. They had plans with T and K (hockey game, dinner and then the bar).
My New Year's resolution...spend more time hanging out with Mommy and Daddy!
