Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween from the world' best - and cutest - chick magnet. Mommy has always said I'm a ladies man. I guess she was right.

I'm just thankful that the costume this year didn't include "head gear. "

Bummed

This is the look I gave to Mommy the other night when the Cubs lost.

I'm sad, but it was a great year. I'm looking forward to next season!

Good Morning, Beautiful!

I spend most of my mornings like this:

I watch Mommy get out of bed and head to the bathroom for a shower and primping
Me, I keep one eye on things, but usually go back to sleep. Mom is a bit envious because as most of you know, she is an insomniac. And she wonders how I can sleep so much (as evidence of my abundance of sleep during the night when she's up and struggling to get to sleep).

Tonight, I'm fast asleep on Mommy's chest. I like that the best!

The Chicago Marathon

I've got a great vantage point for today's marathon.

But later Mommy took me out for a walk and we stopped at the half way mark to watch the runners. Mommy thought we might see her friend Tracy who came from Baltimore to run the race today. We didn't see her, but we saw so many others.

Take me Out to the Ball Game

Mommy's last adventure (before heading back to work) was all about the Chicago Cubs. She bought a ticket from one of the Wrigley Rooftops before the regular season was finished. Well, they didn't play at home for the Wild Card game. But the Rooftop decided to have a viewing party. So, she went to that instead. But before she went, she made sure I was ready to cheer them on.

This would have been the view had the game happened.  So, Mommy was pretty happy that she was able to see the entire game on TV. She stayed outdoors as long as she could, but it just got too cold.

She even had a hot dog. And for those that know Mommy, she doesn't like hot dogs. But I told her before she went to make sure she experienced everything.

I'm happy to report the Cubs won. I'm also happy that Mommy got to the train quickly because things turned pretty wild after they won.

Me, I just went to sleep and waited for Mommy to come home. I love my Cubs shirt. It's super comfy and it smells like Mommy.

Animals

Today's excursion was the zoo! Mommy hadn't been there before. She said it was really beautiful. And she noticed that dogs could walk along some of the paths. So, maybe I can go next time.

She saw lots of animals. She was most impressed by the lion. She said he spent the entire time "roaring."

Of course, I still looked like this:

Art

Mommy is taking a few days off of work (I'm so happy because I think she works too much). She's decided to enjoy some of the sites right here in our hometown. While I'm happy she is doing something other than focusing on work, I miss her when she is away. And yes, I usually give my Mom this look before she leaves.

So off she went to The Art Institute. Mommy says it is one of her all-time favorites. She says she discovers new things each time she goes.

She wrapped up her trip with a quick trip to Millenium Park. I assume this "head" is an extension of the art next door.
