Day 315 - COVID-19 2021

Today is what I’d call a lazy Sunday. Mommy was up early - like she always is - but she didn’t rush to get out of bed and start chores. She did get up to defrost chicken because she normally cooks my chicken for the week on Sunday.

But don’t be fooled, Mommy did more laundry, ran the dishwasher and cleaned the floors again.

We did finally make it outside. This morning it was wet from the freezing drizzle we got early today. Which picture is your favorite?

We got home and Mommy changed into her comfy poncho that Auntie Kristin got her for Christmas. But, I found it comfy so I snuggled with it for awhile before I let Mommy wear it.

 It’s Saturday. You know the drill.

Today was the first day of indoor dining since October. Of course, Aimtir Linda and Mommynhad to participate.

Mommy caught me in deep sleep with all of my friends!

We were able to get out for our walk before 5 today, but boy was it cold. I had to wear my sweater so I didn’t stop in my tracks from the cold.

Inauguration Day 2021. Mommy’s mask says it all. Today provides great hope that this country can begin to heal, unite and push forward.

And we missed the whole thing, mommy had meetings all day today, but she recorded it and will go back to it later. 

Tonight, the Framily decided to celebrate Rachel’s birthday, four years ago, they were in Napa celebrating a Rachel milestone birthday when the ex president, not to be named, was inaugurated. It put a damper on the weekend.Today, history was made and a weight was lifted. So, no better time to celebrate.

Day 310 - COVID-19 2021

 Today was the first day back in the office this week for a mommy. She had a full meeting schedule today, so I was able to catch up on sleep. Admittedly I was up a lot last night, so Mommy got very little sleep.

We did get a few package deliveries today, including our water. Water delivery has been a highlight of COVID. First, Mommy didn’t even realize this was possible until Auntie Linda told her about it. With Mommy’s fear of grocery stores since COVID (she actually enjoyed them before the pandemic) to her drinking almost all water (she may have one Diet Coke a day if that), Mommy goes through a lot of water (it should be. Opted that she realizes water does come from the tap, but thinks Chicago water tastes funny). And of course, I’ve been on bottled water for a long time, so she can get my water in the delivery too (I only like one brand).

I was restless by the time the end of the day rolled around and spent several minutes begging for Mommy to take me out.

It was.snowing during our walk,  it I didn’t mind. I just love being outside.
