Day 5 - COVID-19 2020

Today was a long day for Mommy. She started working super early this morning. So I tried to stay out of her way and let her get things done.

The best part of the day was going for an evening walk!

After we got back, Mommy went to the grocery store. The list of what she couldn't find this week was longer than last week. She couldn't get milk, eggs, sour cream, beef, chicken, frozen vegetables, toilet paper, paper towels, pasta noodles and pasta sauce. Thank god Diet Coke was still available.

On a final note, this was the statement Mommy made today:

Day 4 - COVID-19 2020

I need to say one thing right now! This weather has got to get better. Raining and staying inside I
I realize go hand-in-hand, but not when you haven't been able to leave for a few days because the weather has been crappy!

Today, Mommy needed lots of hugs.

And when she didn't need hugs, she let me help her with work.

But I'll tell you what, all that work she does is exhausting.

Before I go, I can't forget to share Mommy's statement of the day. Today is a bonus because I forgot to post hers from yesterday.

Day 3 - COVID-19 2020

I wish I had something exciting to share with you today, but I don't. I did much of the same thing as I've done the previous two days.

I spent my time watching over Mommy and sleeping.

The weather was icky here today so we didn't make it outside. Tomorrow is another day!

Day 2 - COVID-19 2020

Today is St. Patrick's Day.

Truth be told, Mommy took this photo on Saturday. That would have been the day the City would have celebrated St. Patrick's Day. But this year, the celebration was cancelled. The expected attendance would have been too large to contain the spread of the virus.

People still went out to celebrate. But, not at the same levels Mommy and I've seen in years past. Mommy and the girls spent a few hours catching up with Amit. The bar he works at was being shut down (this was before the mandatory shutdown). Mommy and the girls wanted to show their support for Amit and his colleagues in the service industry who are so heavily being impacted by this crisis.

On to today's update. My day started out much like yesterday, watching Mommy work.

But the end of the day was different. We went for a walk.

It was eerily quiet outside. Very little traffic and even last people. But it was great to get outside. We're going to spend time outside every day (weather permitting)!

Before I wrap up, I want to share the statement Mommy made today (I can confirm she work it all day today and kept the lights on during her video conferences).

Day 1 - COVID-19 2020

Today is officially Day 1 of what Mommy said last week was going to be just her working from home for two week.

I spent most of the day sleeping. And when I wasn't, I kept my eye on Mommy.

Let me tell you, I am for one excited about this. Mommy is home with me all day, every day. Now, we can go for walks (the CDC says it is ok), but we have to keep our distance from others. One thing Mommy is continuing to do is make her daily statement. You see, she has all this cool jewelry and people like to see what she wears every day since she has to spend time on video conferences, she is treating her above the waist wardrobe as business attire (while her below waist consists of sweatpants).

It is my hope that tomorrow will not be as boring as today. But Mommy has told me to expect that these next few weeks will not be normal and will be very low key.

Spring Forward

I have no idea why there is so much flurry about moving the clocks ahead 1 hour. I slept through it.

I woke up when Mommy said it was time for our walk.

My Goal

My goal each and every day is to get Mommy to question whether or not she needs to go to work or run an errand. Why? Well I think it's much better when Mommy stays home with me. But how do I get her to think? By giving her this look:

And this look:

I mean, Mommy taught me "the look." I think I've perfected it. Don't you think my look would have you second guessing leaving the house?
