I was out on the dog run (7th floor of our building) conducting my morning ritual. All of a sudden there were a lot of sirens. And when I say a lot, I mean a lot. One right after the other. It stopped me dead in my tracks. I ran to Mommy and climbed up her leg. I wanted to see what she could see.
Note: this is a picture from today as Mommy didn't have her phone with her yesterday
I could see the tops of the fire trucks and their lights. I could see they were turning down our street, but they were going the opposite way. But, neither of us could see any signs of an emergency (smoke, standing crowds, stopped traffic, etc.).
I went on about my morning ritual.
Note: Video below is from today since Mommy didn't have her camera with her yesterday (I like to play with Mommy once I am done with my ritual).
Well, the sirens didn't stop. They just kept on coming. Mommy and I went back to our apartment and Mom got onto "The Google" to find out what might be going on. She discovered that a hotel about two blocks away - the one were Karla, Tim and Jack stayed when they came to visit us in 2014 - had a fire. Apparently a microwave sparked the fire. The fireman were able to put it out quickly and there were no injuries. But, there was lots of smoke inside the building.
It's just another day here in the City. #CityLiving
